i live in northern canada. XD
winters are usually -15c to -20c.
but the cold week, is cold.

-30c to -40c, and then windchill makes it 10 degrees colder sometimes.

coldest i've seen is maybe -65c but that was a couple winters ago.

at least i'm not in the yukon or nunavut?
i am in northern alberta and looking at a map there's a few small communities further north.
but i don't think there's any cities north of us.

here's what wiki says about our climate.
"With severe winters except during periods of warming chinook winds, mild to warm summers and only three months which average temperature is higher than 10 °C (50 °F), Fort McMurray has a borderline subarctic climate "

'borderline subarctic' XD

ah yeah the fires made us pretty famous :vanora_sweat:

During the evacuation i got stuck north of the city for a couple days before they got planes to take us out.
I was at work at the time and tried to make it downtown, but it was a no go.
Everyone in my family ended up in different places.
Dad, bro & the two cats made it to lac la biche,
my mom works at the hospital and went with them and ended up in calgary.
and then i ended up in edmonton. stayed with a friend for a month.

luckilly i didn't lose my house but it was close.
