Forums General Chit-Chat Which nightmare would frighten you most?

Donator — Any Posted 5 years ago ( 2019/11/18 17:09:35 )
1. Standing on top of something very high and realizing suddenly that there are no hand- or footholds, nor any barrier to stop you falling.

2. An eye at the keyhole of the dark, windowless room in which you are locked.

3. Waking up to find that neither your friends nor your family have any idea who you are.

4. Being forced to speak in such a silly voice that hardly anyone can understand you, and everyone laughs at you.

Probably #2 but I think spooky nightmares are also rad at the same time. #1 would also be scary but I don't seem to have a fear of heights in my dreams. #3 would make me frustrated. #4 is like damn, people you why aren't you taking me to the hospital?

That's an interesting assortment of nightmare questions.
1 is not an issue (no fear of heights)
2 would be creepy.
3 is irrelevant.
4 ... hospital please?

@Kitalpha Hart: Yeah, this is from the Hogwarts house sorting quiz and some questions I have a very hard time answering.

@kiwi: That made me laugh but I'm so sorry. We should beat them up.

@Wildfire: Brought to you by Pottermore WizardingWorld.

@Kira: That, actually, puts a lot of context around these questions and makes it all make more sense!!!

I think #2 would be the scariest for me!
I’ve actually had a similar dream and woke myself up crying. XD

not gonna lie probably number 4 because that speaks to some real-life experiences and anxieties for me. obviously if this were real stuff and not dreams, the priority list would be different, but as far as nightmares go, that one would probably get me. I am very self-conscious about my voice and have a big problem with people ignoring what I say and pretending they can't hear me.

I once had a dream that I was a kid again, and I was super stoked about it, but when I went back to my childhood home, it was abandoned and it dawned on me that I somehow got teleported to some alternate dimension where neither I nor my family technically existed, so I was just this kid left all on my own with nowhere to go and it was terrifying in a lonely kind of way. Especially since I wasn't technically supposed to be there.

Other than that, I do agree that spooky dreams can be fun! They are some of my favorite, but I go have a lot of legitimate nightmares.
Often my scariest dreams have to do with the same stuff the triggers my OCD unsurprisingly. So demon possessions n sht along those lines.

It sounds silly, but that's just how it is.
