@Colan: ooh~ by music what genre would you say you’d fit yourself in? I don’t want to presume rap because you could also do something else
@bonnie: Nah you right. I’m mainly rapping for now, but I do wanna dabble in other stuff. Gotta keep life fresh. He he
@Colan: okay that’s cool. Do you play any instruments? And do you make your own beats or sample from others?
@bonnie: I play guitar and the double bass (some keyboard). I make my own beats, but they’re not good enough to actually use yet so for now I find beats over the internet that I like and use those.
@Colan: ooh those are nice instruments to know how to play. Hey that’s okay as long as you keep practicing? What parts of beats do you find yourself lacking in?
@bonnie: Making them more interesting. They don’t really stand out. Can’t quite find that “it” factor that tickles my ear (without just blatantly copying someone else; which defeats the whole purpose). Weird to explain, but ye.
@Colan: no I get it. I don’t make any music but my friend does and he says the same. What is your process if you don’t mind me asking?
@bonnie: I just kinda sit down, listen to some music for samples, sometimes I use em, and sometimes I just tap away on the daw until something sounds cool. I just kinda do stuff. Not very professional - I know. But it’s fun so... yep.
@Colan: gotcha gotcha! Yeah he does the same xD i respect y’all it takes some creativity and skill to do that. Even if it’s just casual
