I seen a few people with different colored profiles and I was messing around the settings and I put some background color in as well as the content color that is provided in the profile settings. Nothing has changed in my profile. Am I doing this wrong ? And if so is there a guide on how to do it? I haven't touched coding in like 4 years <~<

@zach: If you look on your profile, you do indeed have blue around it now. The 'inner' color is still the same white/gray, but you did succeed in changing one.

@Zach: For that all you need to do is add something like this to your profile CSS:
body { background: blue; }
or whatever HEX code you're using. c:

Okay awesome . Do you happen to know of a guide about this? If it's an off site website you can pm it to me.
Thanks for the help!

The best way to change things here is to either use the inspect tool in chrome, or firebird in firefox. That way you can find out the names of the elements used on the profile page. When changing the colors in your settings make sure you put a # before the color code.

I am already seeing the problem. After background you used an - when you need to use :
And after the hex code you need to close it with ;
Body {background:#FF000;}

your hex code also needs 6 letters/numbers.
