@Krampus: ABSOLUTELY yes there are some really bad ones. I think it is a really nice place to go look at cool culture. You’d have to plan and budget because there’s a lot of things that cost a lot that are fun to do.
The crazy party scene is a tourist thing to do. New Orleans people like to party but the reputation it has about being filthy and nasty and Bourbon Street is all because of tourists lol
