A few days later, Az was filling out a report in the computer lab when someone tapped on his shoulder.

"Hey." Erica said. When he looked to her, he saw that she still looked, almost alarmingly so, but there was a bit of colour to her.

"Heard you were looking for me."

"Uh... well, yeah." he said.

"But... I mean... are you okay?" he asked.

"You look better than when I found you, but... you still don't look so good." he went on.

"I mean, if you're up and about... then I guess you're fine, but... well, whatever." he said further.

"I want to talk to you about your recent teleporting."

"However, Hell has better things to do than seek damages or whatever." he went on.

"HOW did you do it?" he asked her.

Erica didn't say anything before sighing.

"Apparently... I ... kinda? can." She then said.

"Obviously that one was a failure, but I've managed to do anything and everything esle I've tried." She added before holding her marked arm and hand out toward a candle. It vanished in a swirl of tendrils that looked like her marks, before it appeared on the desk they were by.

"That? Not an issue. I've tested it on my cat and whatnot to. Again, no issue.s" She paused.

"Even doing it to someone isn't an issue. Doing it to myself, on the other hand..." She trailed off with a sigh.

"And those injuries you had..." he went on, trailing off some.

"...they were sustained from JUST that travel?" he asked her.

"I didn't think it woudl go perfectly, but I didn't expect to nearly die from it." She added with a light sigh.

"Why? Do you know anything about it?" She asked, her voice curious... and a bit hopeful

"Uh... well, yeah." he said.

"I mean, I AM a demon." he told her.

"I know about teleporting through the Hell dimension." he continued.

"Granted, the fact that you managed it is... well, it's not unprecedented, but... it's still noteworthy." he then said further.

"The fact that you survived it is remarkable."

"Because I don't... I have no idea why I can suddenly do this, and it's freaking me out, if I'm being honest." She then told him.

"Also, for the record, If you can help with me feeling like the realm is still crawling on me, that'd be grand."

"I'll remove the realm's influence."

"That'd be absolutely wonderufl." Erica said. "And no worries on it slipping your mind. I Get that it happens." She added as she closed the distance between them.

"In all seriousness though, thank you. Now, where or what, or anything?" She asked, making it apparent that she didn't know what it was that she was required to do for this, if anything.

"And thank you for the quick reaction time before." She added, sincerity to her voice.

"You're welcome." Azazel replied.

"Time was of the essence, so I knew my questions would have to wait." he told her.

He then looked at her and narrowed his eyes, before sighing.

"Permission to lay a palm on your chest?" he asked.

"If it will help." Erica responded.

Azazel then put his palm in the middle of her chest, and she immediately felt the feeling and influence of Hell begin to congregate there... but she also felt it start to exit her, and quickly.

After Azazel finished, he could see that Erica had a brief moment of weakness, but managed to stay on her feet.

"Thank you." She said, gratitude more than a little evident in her voice.

"I feel worlds better." She told him, and he could hear it in her voice.

"Thank you... so so much."

"...so this just... recently and randomly manifested?" he asked her.

"Started ... fuck, I think a month ago?" She asked.

"The only thing I can guess, is that it's connected to this." She said, bringing her right hand up, the hand and arm completely covered.

"It's reached pretty far on my chest now, and maybe it's spread reached my heart, as isn't that the core of peoples mana?" She asked.

"Beyond that, I have no idea. But this spread, and then I could do things I couldn't before."

"Because I get the feeling this warrants a deep looking-into."
