My husband and I were looking into buying a house, but with all this going on, we figured we should probably wait on that.
Just gonna save up our funds so we have a better down payment in the future.

The houses in this state are pretty inexpensive. Just wanting to stay within walking distance to my job in case some serious shit goes down.

Yikes. That is sad.

30k at the low end, up to 200k for larger ones, whether acreage or number of bedrooms.

Yep, Pennsylvania economy in a small town.

We looked at one that was listed for 45k, but with the interests spread out over 20 years of repayment, they were wanting like triple that in the long run.

If the world does end, we are going to move further south to friends in South Carolina so we can all survive the end together in warmer weather. No freezing to death in the 6-7 months of Winter we seem to be having here.
