myself as a grunge band member
all of my housemates left and decided to spend the rest of the college school year with their families since we have online classes now
so i get the house all to myself for a couple months :) im happy

they arent paying the pg&e or wifi tho, so i have to pay it all now, but it's worth it if i get to be alone
i was tired of their passive aggression anyway. things just might be ok now
I consciously sing love songs to my depression lol
Not just love songs, but any song that speaks to a "you" really

For example, in Pinegrove's song Aphasia:
"One day I won't need your love / One day I won't define myself by the one I'm thinking of"

or

In Lana Del Rey's song Norman Fucking Rockwell:
"You fucked me so good I almost said 'I love you'"
sounds exactly how I feel about my depression

Posted in growing up or going away? Posted 5 years ago
as i get older and as my depression worsens and life gets staler and i become emptier,
i notice that ive grown away from everyone. there is nobody in my life who has been there from the start
mom gone, dad doesnt like me. all my childhood friends left after i moved away
even the friends i make now go away eventually. they all do.
until there is nobody left.
there is only depression.
without it i would be..nothing? it's the only thing who has been there for me and who i know always will be

as i speak to my sister she tells me "you havent been in my life for the past 3 years. you moved away. of course i forgot about you"
we dont have the same relationship. i am growing up into new interests and creating more distance. we share less in common these days
i share less in common with everyone, it seems. as i fall deeper i realize im reaching isolation and seclusion
is this what i wanted?

have i grown up, or have i gone away? or..both...have i grown away?
animal crossing because it's hyped right now
id go to mystery dungeon once the acnh hype dies down a bit

ive only ever experimented with mules when i played gaia
i had around 2 or 3 accounts at most given times
nevertheless, i prefer to maintain a single account

i will never be able to please everyone in the world. this i know.
but it hurts more when i cant even please my friends anymore

seems like everything is being labeled as problematic these days
you cant even practice benign goodwill without being accused of having ulterior motives or being inherently selfish

there is literally no pleasing this world anymore. the regime we're in right now is so overcritical. it overlooks so much beauty and potential.
im really getting tired of walking on eggshells despite trying
nobody recognizes trying. it's either get it right everytime, or get social alienation

welcome, welcome! love the username

if youre looking for the active forums, most of us tend to post in General Chit-Chat or spam posts in The Undercurrent to get volts
also, the front homepage of the website itself actually has a "Latest Topics" widget, which i often use to chat with others
@grost:
Oh, the living puppets fear is really interesting! Here's a fun fact for you that might scare you even more:
in Wizard101, all enemy models are defaulted to a living puppet, meaning that when worlds haven't finished loading and you enter an area that has not downloaded all the assets onto your computer, you will see all the enemies in that area represented as a still-motion living puppet that moves through the virtual space without actually moving its body or joints (so it basically floats through the map)
King Ramses from Courage the Cowardly Dog saying "give me the slaaaaaab" haunted my entire childhood
the animation was so strikingly different and the figure moved in a very displeasing way. it falls in line with the uncanny valley theorem, i think

@Jolly:
youre fine lol
my sister works for gamestop and she told me that people try to scam them all the time anyway, but they have systems in place to prevent it, such as requiring fingerprint scanning and i believe they have to sign a liability or some kind of waiver for certain trade-ins

she's told me a lot about the problems with the system and how technically there are ways that customers can scam gamestop and there's nothing an employee can do to stop it. it's kind of funny, i mean people will do whatever they can to get back at gamestop, probably because they feel cheated or angry from some of its policies
