my word for 2020 is Mature. im hoping to "grow up"
ive grown tired of everyone around me treating me like a little kid. ive been a legal adult for almost 3 years now and people still belittle me and treat me like im a teenager or minor underage child

i thought i wouldn't mind but i've come to really dislike the feeling of being underestimated and constantly undercut due to perceptions that im young and inexperienced. it comes from all types of people: friends who are older, peers of the same age as me, my own family, etc....

im trying to "grow up" and change the way i act, which so far has meant getting my permit and soon my driver's license (finally). im not sure what other steps i will take, but i am mostly pushing towards total independence and self-sufficiency. i just don't want to be treated like a nuisance, or a little kid anymore. it hurts

i play all kinds of games, but lately i've been investing time into Hearthstone, Don't Starve Together, and Pokemon Shield

i got shield version on the day it came out but became quickly disinterested (i just didn't like it for some reason?), but i think i'm starting to get back into it. i have 4 gym badges so far lol

try video games! i always rely on video games to assuage my boredom. in fact i actually rely on them to get through my daily life! i'm so far in that i simply couldn't live without them~ haha

yes i remember getting this sometimes
it goes away naturally over time, thankfully. and it's not as noticeable as you might think
next time it happens, try looking in the mirror and seeing how subtle it really is

i dont have any pets but i frequently visit my friend who has a white terrier doggo
he loves to have his tail scratched, which i found unusual. most dog tails ive known tend to be sensitive but the tail on this doggo seems to be a possible tickle/itchy spot for him. he spins while i'm scratching his tail, it's so adorable
and whats weird is how fast he can wag it. it literally reminds me of insect wings because it's wagging so fast

i never liked thanksgiving. my parents would make me say that i am thankful for them. im not and never was, lmao. not thankful for living a broken abusive childhood and definitely not thankful for the ones who caused it

now i live far away from them, and i don't pay the holiday any mind
it's just an all around shitty holiday for all sorts of reasons for all sorts of people. at least i get 3 days off of school though
