Eke just smiled. He popped a candy in his mouth. He was always eating candy, so it didnt make much sense that he was so underweight.

"Do you have a jacket or something? its kind of cold" He pulled on his thin sleeves. He pulled out a small bag that was almost empty and pulled out a candy for ryker.

"I dont have many left but, you can have one if you want" he smiled. He felt that every time Ryker took a candy, they bonded a little more.

He sat up looking at Ryker hopefully. "S-so I can stay?" His voice was soft.

He didn't want to go, but he knew that he didnt want to end up a burden. "I know I'll slow you down at some point, but I do want company. Protection is always good."

He brushed some hair from his face. "You seem lonely anyways"

"Do you...want me to go?" He suddenly asked. He knew he had health problems and didnt want to be a burden.

He looked to the ground poking at a dead crunchy leaf. He felt kind of gloomy after his near death experience. His hair had fallen over his face concealing his slight pout.

He sighed messing with the leaf till it was nothing but dust.

"Oh" eke looked down. Made him feel like his story was nothing special.

He lay down by the fire still quiet tired form the day before. Still, Ryker wasnt...terrible company.

"Whered you learn to fish and...whatever it is your doing there?" he asked curiously

Eke grabbed the net but not before he used his tail to kill the beast of a fish. He let the thing fall into the net before grinning.

"I told you! I told you candy worked!" He chuckled. He popped a candy into his mouth sitting back down.

"So...whats your story?" He looked at Ryker before moving back to the fire.

He slowly looked up. Evidently, he had been asleep.

"Why do i need a net?" He asked groggily rubbing his eyes. He yawned and tried to shake off the sleep. He heard his stomach growl and looked to his bag of candies. He's had to restock soon.

"I mean i can handle a net, but why do i..." he stopped mid sentence realising why he needed a net and grabbeed it. Had he been more awake, he could have used his tail.

He looked over. "Yeah. Ive never not been sick. I have...lots of things wrong with me. like how i cant gain weight" he nodded and watched the waters.

"Thank you...really you saved my life" he hugged his knees wishing to hide away now.

He was silent for a while, unless he was asked a question.
