I tried to take econ in freshman year and holy crap that teacher is by far the worst teacher I've ever had in every aspect you could possibly fail at as a full-time teacher

My school had that problem where despite they have the ability to get good teachers they always end up hiring jackasses who obviously do not care at all about what they're teaching if they're even qualified to teach it in the first place

The most useful classes I took were a personal finance class that they made you take in sophomore year??? and no joke my senior english class that had my favorite teacher of all time

My entire school district was one of those image-focused ones that pretend like they actually wanna help kids when in reality I had to directly call them out for running under fascist principles and I wrote a whole thing for my dean and the principle before I left

I was only able to enjoy it once I was able to do what I do best: take my decently-developed skills and use it for the dumbest and most useless purposes possible

Honestly my friends I have now are worth the endless amount of dirty looks I got from the bouncers and several teachers every time I passed them in the halls

The funniest part about that thought process that started it all in middle school: I now waste my time making unnecessary math problems to solve myself, like the time I figured out how long it would take five people perfectly timing each post in the undercurrent to complete a 1 million page thread

Kinda glad thought they changed the laws in my state to make dropout age 18 rather than 16, I tried to dropout at 16 using my epilepsy as a medical excuse, and if I wasn't told I couldn't do that, I would have grown as much as a person and made my closest friends

Yeah I did lol, it was a long string of events that started with me thinking "huh yknow this is all kinda a waste of time, I'm not going to be a mathematician so why should I bother going on with my advanced math classes screw this" in middle school

I didn't really even start having an actual experience of hanging out with people and doing what I imagine is "normal teenage things" regularly until I was basically already done with high school
