HAHA WELL... it is a bit complicated, since it's a japanese app and you need a subscription to use it (altho it's very cheap, esp compared to karaoke rooms in the states). to buy the subscription you need a JP credit card, but there is a workaround (I think involving using JP eshop currency?) that I can ask my friend about if you want ;3c

I 100% recommend tho. you know it's a good app bc the developers run karaoke rooms in japan haha. they even have the most obscure vocaloid songs

saaaaame... my friends and I used to use the joysound karaoke app on the nintendo switch! it's almost entirely japanese songs and gets updated frequently. we'd karaoke allllll night in the apartment, Im sure our neighbors hated us ALDKFJKL

that sounds fun tho. I love karaoke! my other favorite chill activities to do at a con are go to the manga library and funny anime screenings. I like watching the AMV contest too.

@Totalanimefan: haha I've only ever been to really big cons.. I think the smaller ones would be a very different experience (like... less waiting in lines???? ADFLKJL) I'd like to go, but I think fewer of my friends would be interested in tagging along if it's small. The social aspect is a big part of the con experience! I get to see friends that I haven't seen in a long time because the cons bring everyone together in one place. I think that's the reason why I can't get into virtual cons.

aww yeah that would be really sad a lot of work and money goes into planning the events, I hope we don't lose cons like we lost restaurants this year

I think a con happened in texas(?) recently, and there were a bunch of cases connected to it, it wasn't good...

I appreciate efforts to make the conventions happen virtually but it's not the same experience

@Totalanimefan: MOOD tbh if I knew 2019 was gonna be my last anime con for like the next 2 years I would have taken photos HAHA....
I feel this way about concerts especially. I don't wanna view the concert through my phone screen so I don't take photos or video but later I'm like, man I wish I had some to remember the concert more clearly haha
at least I can say that I enjoyed it when it happened, even if the memory is foggy now

I know I take a lot of things here for granted. sometimes I think about people who have never seen the ocean before and I'm reminded just how amazing it is to experience

@Totalanimefan: yeah I can imagine it's a different experience being surrounded by it physically! sometimes it's better to just enjoy in the moment. I think I feel that way about most things, although there are also times when I'm sad that I don't have photos of anything hahaha
