@rolly joger: Yeah you should go for it if you have the time! I'm sure it'll be lots of fun.
I have so much respect for art students man. They have to pay for their own supplies too, and it's not like they can skip them like I... /cough skip on textbooks...
I have some friends that took a kpop class too! haha
It was great but it was a lot of anime to watch weekly. Like too much actually HAHA i don't even watch that much for fun
My transcript literally says I got an A in anime and that's on my record forever. permanently. lowkey if I got anything less than an A like what does that mean? who am I even?? A B IN ANIME?
Jokes aside it was a really fun class. And I wrote a killer essay that I don't think I'll ever top
Oh no, decorations then I guess! Or containers for pens. That's what all my mugs are these days whoops

Whoo welcome Kent!! I've added you to the list!
And I should announce that
There are only 7 days left to sign-up for the exchange!
I should probably do a better job at bumping/promoting this thread

yeah but at that point I just lurk and not post at all hahaha
i mean if i have nothing to say i just won't say anything, that's just me i guess
@rolly joger: those sound fun! I really wish I had time to take an art class. But they require SO many studio hours that there was no way I could fit it into my schedule. It's insane, art majors are truly another breed
My roommate and I took a class on anime for fun HAHA it was great.
cups and bowls are useful though!

The way that Luffer runs the contests, the prize is reserved for you as soon as you sign up so that's not a concern haha. That's actually probably more of a concern with the RNG contests.
I like conversations tho. Feels weird to be in a thread with people and not just talk to them.
@rolly joger: Nice! Do you have any classes in mind?
My friend took a ceramics class for fun after she finished all her major classes. She took me to the art building during open studio hours once and I got to make a small cup on the pottery wheel!! It was a lot of fun, I've never tried one of those before.

Yeahh but the posting contests are fun (and good for the community)! I mean, you have to post to roll dice or generate numbers anyway haha
And the posting contest doesn't rely on RNG for you to get your prize /cough
@rolly joger: Maybe my mistake was not taking summer classes
but
FREE SUMMERS (... sort of...)
Yeahhh hopefully! Will you have time to take some classes for fun?

super relatable!!
I used to be a piano kid™. Took lessons for 8 plus years, finished all the exams, recitals, music theory, practiced everyday for hours. Then school hit me like a train and I stopped playing (which I really regret honestly). Now that I have some free time again, I've been trying to relearn everything. It's hard though (and I suck now haha). I look at some of my old scores and I can't believe that I used to be able to play those things...

FOUR DAY WEEKENDS? what a godly schedule. what did you have to sacrifice to satan for that
are those 3 days of classes going to be hell tho yikes
I don't think I ever had a decent schedule in college HAHA they were all horrible. Every quarter it was like "how can I make this schedule even worse than last time"
I peaked at the end of senior year it was great.

@Kirrai: Yukine is also my favorite character! I'm really weak for redemption stories...
Oops I never watched the original Sword Art Online I'M LIKE YEARS BEHIND I'M STILL WATCHING STUFF FROM 2008
At some point recently My Hero Academia got really popular but I can't remember when it actually came out anymore haha
Yep there's one more week left for sign-ups!
Yeah I've definitely been in exchanges where I've been left out, so I know how it feels... so I'm going to try really hard to make sure it doesn't happen here! I'm really glad for all the support that the pinch hitting system has gotten so far.

@Kirrai: Nice! I've yet to catch up to Attack on Titan - just... waiting for episodes so I can binge... (wait unless it's over already I'm so out of the loop)
Noragami was so good. It was a rare gem that season that I felt got popular only by word of mouth. I'm glad it did! season 3 when
Oh man I'm way behind on seasonal anime. Which are the good ones you've heard of?
Nooo don't worry about that! Join if you want to! Pixel art is awesome and any size would make a great gift!!
Hahahahaha well I'm just hoping nothing goes horribly wrong

@xirin: 1 hour is like the middleground between close enough to meet and not close enough to meet haha
my closest friend from that group is 2 hours away... at some point I just want to meet up with them for like a week and we'll just MARATHON THE THING
@Selikait: Ahhh that sounds like a lot of fun! I like unpredictable games like that. My friend is coming over tomorrow, and he does have that game, so hopefully we'll get a chance to play it! He's bringing over a lot of others too so I'll let you know what else I discover haha

Black Friday is pretty much the only day in the entire year where I go clothes shopping haha. My friends and I go to an outlet in the middle of nowhere, and as long as we get our shopping done from 7am-10am, there's not really much of a crowd. I haven't had a negative experience yet.
The clothes I buy aren't fancy or expensive either. But I have to replace shirts often because I tear holes in them or spill chemicals on them, so I just don't want to buy them all year round at regular price.
I would never go to Black Friday to buy electronics though. That would be crazy.

BLESS KNEADED ERASERS! They are saviors
My favorite thing about my art teacher was her "Sketch of the Week" assignments - like Inktober, but once a week and all year round. The themes were SAT vocab words, which tbh was the best way to learn them.
When I graduated, I gave her my set of 2,000 SAT vocab cards so she could torture her students literally until retirement. This is perhaps my greatest life achievement.
@Amber Lynne: Sameeee I hate scanners... Sometimes I feel like taking a photo with a nice camera is better but lighting is hard
@Apollo Im Burning: Ahh Infamous! I remember watching my cousin play some of the first one, I thought the concept was really interesting.
I haven't heard of the gum wall (I looked it up just now) but wow... so much gum... like... layers of it... a true piece of modern public art tbh. I totally forgot that gum keeps its color when stuck somewhere because I only ever see it on the ground when it turns dark and ugly haha
I think you'll be able to see it though! I don't think people will stop putting gum on it, it seems like too much of an important part of Seattle.
It reminds me of the Pont des Arts in Paris (looked it up because I didn't know the actual name haaa), where couples attach locks to the bridge and then throw the keys into the river. It's insane how many locks are on that bridge
Ahh I keep thinking Oregon when you say Salem but it's not that one haha
Is that the Salem with the witch trial history?
or am I remembering history wrong oops (not my best subject)
