@LordLucre: From what i've learned from my own personal experiences is that a
family member, just like a friend, or relationship can very well be a toxic person in your life.

One can only take so much of a mental and emotional beating
until they decide its time to move on.

Are you in a position where you can move out?
(trust me i know it isn't easy doing so,
it took me a while)
