My two cents: If the driftwood is somewhat close by, Vregory can use the pillow to extend his reach. Then use the driftwood to paddle closer to the boy. Unless land is nearby, stay out of the water.

@Lunakiri: It's okay! I guess I'm part of the minority if anything. 
My mom runs a gown rental business. A lot of people tend to rent gowns during this time of year, so it can get quite busy now.
Anyway, I think I gotta go! I have to prepare before leaving.
