@cashew: I accidentally disappeared into Netflix and Laundry. Not nearly as exciting as netflix and chill....
Posted in "Alexa, please play ________" Posted 6 years ago
@cashew: It's so funny how quickly kids catch on to it! OH, I can talk to this thing and it will play what I want? YES. My son will say it in grocery stores too and we have to tell him that Alexa isn't everywhere.

@totalanimefan: XD ooooh Alexa

@alexis: She's fast man... She'll pick up things that don't even sound remotely like Alexa. I don't argue with Alexa too much. Siri is the one that butts into my conversations. I'll be in the middle of teaching and she'll interrupt me with her nonsense. She's on my watch.. she's always with me......*spooky fingers*

I think the most annoying thing was when there would be a commercial for Alexa and she'd pop on and talk to it. They actually had to change the frequency of the voice in the commercials so that it wouldn't pick it up anymore.

@kozi: and @millet: She used to laugh randomly and sometimes she would bark? She's a lot better now though. She doesn't seem to appreciate it when you notice that her voice changed though.... I always try to make sure I thank her for her services. She'll remember me during the robot revolution. XD

@little crane: We got it for free. We were the "X number person" to walk into a store and talk to an employee or something like that.

@tuijp: Are you TRYING to bring about the apocalypse? Kozi don't do it!

My almost 3 year old son asks for Alexa to play a song that I made up for him when he was a baby. It is literally just his name, sung in different sing song voices, but shhhh. XD

He also asks for the paw patrol and bubble guppies theme songs.

So,
That means I'm practically a celebrity.
My music is up there with paw patrol.

I'll be signing autographs in the morning.

@hazer: What does the inside of a pokeball even look like? will I have luxury accommodations?

@alexis: alright! I got off of my booty and cooked something tonight!

My family really enjoys my play on King Ranch Casserole.
(there is no ranch in this thing. the name is super misleading apparently, it's a place.)
ANYWAY
I'll post the recipe with some shortcuts included.

You will need-
12 tortillas
Pico de gallo (if you're in a pinch, you can buy this pre-chopped or even use rotel. the fresh stuff is amazing in it though)
Cream of Mushroom
Cream of Chicken
Shredded Cheese
3-4 Chicken breasts (you can use a pre-made rotisserie chicken for this part too if you don't feel like cooking. you just gotta debone it.)

Chop up the cooked chicken into bite size pieces and mix it in a large bowl with cream of mush, cream of chicken, pico, and a cup of cheese. Add whatever seasoning you'd like, I usually do some garlic powder and some tony's creole seasoning. Set that aside.

Get a large 9x13 pan and grease it with olive oil. Cut the tortillas into fourths and line the botton of the pan with the cut up tortillas. It just has to cover the bottom, you don't use them all at this point. Spoon half of the mixture you set aside on top of the tortillas in the pan. Add a sprinkling of cheese on the top. Place another layer of tortillas and add the rest of the mixture on top. Put another sprinkling of cheese down. I like to place the remaining tortillas on top, but it usually won't cover it. Bake at 400 for about 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.

Be warned though, this makes a lot of food. We're eating this for dinner tonight, lunch tomorrow, dinner tomorrow, and probably lunch the next day.
