The game doesn't really heavily on story/plot so you can really just pick it back up whenever

I only really play now during splatfest and such which is a shame

What's with the mindset that kids can't be kids
They're only young for a while, let them live in peace and enjoy stuff before they have to actually worry about paying their own mortgages and such
