@vengeance: true, but I'm only up to Heavensward on PC, plus I'm planning on getting a better machine early next year, anyway.

(plus i hate mining for shards for an hour and not getting any XP because you're technically past the level cap for that expansion)

Probably the original Final Fantasy II*, simply because of the horrific grind.

I'd also wanna say FF XI, but that doesn't really count, since it's an MMO.

(*not the US version of FF IV.)
