Yeah! Draw my face! (if you want to)

@Apollo Im Burning:

Dragons are pretty tough. In addition to being very gifted at magic, they also train in self defense at a minimum, but most usually elect to take more. They're not immortal though and yes, some have been murdered. Though most people are favorable to their existence, there are some people that dislike their meddling, especially when they stand to lose something. It's still pretty uncommon for someone to kill them openly due to the backlash they would receive. There is not necessarily a worse punishment than regular murder, though it's a lot more likely to be noticed.

There have also been wars where dragons have gotten caught up in the conflict, but usually they don't interfere outside of working as a neutral intermediary. It would have to be something earth shattering for them to intervene directly. Sadly since they do tend to get wrapped up in conflicts due to the nature of their jobs it's uncommon for dragons die from old age.

Names... lol. Zetanks I took from an old SNES game called Ogre Battle. It was one of the randomly generated monster names. The rest I just... sorta made up? I used to be a lot more creative. =( It was literally just a "yeah that feels right". I have *counts* 8 dragons that actually have names and faces, 2 that I know what they look like and their personality a little but haven't nailed down a name, and a handful of others that are kind of nebulous voids atm.

I would say worldwide there are probably around 2,000 dragons. Their aging slows as they get older so when they're babies they grow up fairly quickly but can live a lot longer than a human. At 42 that would put Zetanks somewhere around the early 20's. She hasn't really left the city much since she came there however so she's still pretty unaware of the dangers out there in the world. They don't send kids out on missions or anything though. Before you start getting assignments you have to pass various tests to make sure you're ready, and even then they never send anyone out alone.

@strawberry: Not sure how to answer that exactly. I couldn't have been more than 15 or so when I first made her but I know I haven't really worked on it in a number of years either. Probably not since I was in my early 20's outside a passing thought here and there.

@strawberry: Originally I used to RP with her which gave me a handle on what she was like and how she'd react in certain situations. Then I started developing family and friends, where she grew up, etc. and before I knew it I had a lot to work with so I just continued refining it in my head by asking "why is this the way it is?" and coming up with answers.

Seeing with images is kind of a double edged sword for me. It's often hard for me to put things I'm feeling or thinking about into words so explaining it to someone else takes quite a bit of time and I'm never sure if I'm getting my point across.

She started as a mary sue basically (as most 15 year olds tend to start with) but slowly kind of evolved into something else over time.

I actually have a whole world with it's own history and lore, but a lot of the details are still pretty fuzzy and need to be pinned down (or penned down as it were).

Dragons, in this world, are actually a race that was magically created in antiquity by the great unifier, Drāk. They are considered guardians and peacekeepers. They have low birthrates but long lives (assuming they aren't killed) and are especially gifted at magic. Often they are looked to when there is a dispute or to defend an injustice.

While not all dragons do, Zetanks lives in the floating city of Najiin where most of the dragons live, work, study, and organize.

She is kind, optimistic, a bit naiive, and she has a bad habit of sticking her nose where it doesn't belong. She'll have to make some hard choices though when things go sideways and she realizes she can't save everyone.

I'll have to do the others later, but there's something for you to read at least.

Y'all, I have entire anime openings for my OCs. But yeah, I tend to think in images anyway so it's only natural for me to see it more like a film than to hear it.

My favorite thrift store has plus sizes and dressing rooms so I always find good stuff there AND can see if it fits right before buying.

Not all thrift stores are equal, I'll tell you that much. I have a couple I go to on the regular that have some nice things.

That's... still a lot lol. I'm so cheap, I won't spend more than $40 (that's like 35 euros) on a garment that isn't lolita. And even then, that's when I'm desperate for some like... work slacks or something. I'd much rather get it on the cheap at a thrift store if I can find it. XD

I often work through my lunch... I just get busy and don't realize the time. Next thing I know I'm stuck in meetings for 3 hours and it's too late to get lunch.

I'm glad you're going to get it checked out. I hope it's nothing too serious.

Welcome! I love your avi so far. =3 The red eyes are very striking on the black and white color scheme.

I like the winter theme best personally. It's the easiest on the eyes.

How plus sized are we talking exactly? If you know your measurements you might can find some stuff on ali express, though I find there's a limit to how "plus" those get. If your measurements are under 110cm you can probably find some cute stuff there. I usually have to order custom sizes when ordering overseas so it gets pricey, but you usually get what you pay for so long as you take care of the garment.

There's also Bodyline if you're interested in lolita fashion (though I think they have some things that would be cute for everyday wear too). They often have free shipping deals and their prices are really affordable.

On a regular day you'll find me wearing tshirt and jeans though because I'm lazy.

I can attest to the thrift store thing though. I've found some really cute work clothes there before for anywhere between $2-7. My very favorite jacket of all time I got at a thrift store for $6. The best part though is that they've already gone through the wash so you know they'll be easy to care for.
