Ohhhhh man my sketchbooks are like my journals. They tell a story of my life, my different phases in life, my different friendships, there are so many memories in drawings. I would 100% drive out of town to pick up my sketchbooks, tbh i wouldn't have left them but i know dire circumstances can cloud the mind or make you prioritize other things.
Honestly if you guys broke up, one of the factors could be because you didnt have an understanding on each other and his reaction to your sketchbooks is a perfect example of that. Its quite a shame shipping cost is expensive, but it's totally worth it going back for some sentimental items.

@Totalanimefan: ahh, sometimes getting too much sleep can make someone sleepier during the day. For my case it's just mother nature doing it's thing
