Buttercream is definitely my go to. I like cream cheese sometimes, usually for my husbands birthday I will do a devil's food cake with cream cheese..
This last time though we did buttercream because he wanted colorful sprinkles on the cake too.

Haha I did learn that one. It ends up putting cake dust all over or ripping it entirely.. ; ;
However if you wait too long the icing wont smoothly spread and you might rip the cake anyways....
Although perhaps I could sliiiiightly warm the icing for easier application or something.
This will take some experimentation, though with no birthdays coming up it could also be dangerous to my waistline LOL.

Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 for wii are pretty decent.
For a non-gamer Animal Crossing City Folk might be a great Wii game for you also. ^^;
Animal Parade is also one I enjoyed.
I mostly stick by my Animal Crossing suggestion for Wii. Don't really know for Xbox systems but I also second Steam for a variety of other types of games.
