@Glume: oh man, now I wish I worked at a comic book store. :viocry: It sounds way more relaxing, but just as hectic (although in a less psyche-damaging way, I bet).

As far as my job goes, I basically come up with the plot, the locations, characters, puzzles... Of course, it all has to be discussed and approved by others. But it's a daunting task, as fun as it can get.

@Totalanimefan you are too sweet ;n; I'll have to repay all of you somehow.

@SirLionelNigelConrad: thanks for such a warm welcome! I had an epiphany when I took a course in Storytelling in Video Games and Comics about eight years ago. And since then I've been really into game development. Landed on this job ad by accident three and a half years ago, and the rest is history :D
I'm pretty happy, fairly sure I've found my calling, but the economic aspect of it is horrendous. All about making money, and less about creating.

I'd like to find people who like multiplayer games on steam, and might be interested in playing every once in a while.

Games like L4D, Lovers in a dangerous spacetime, etc (I'll add more if I remember haha).
Posted in Thoughts on Endgame! Spoilers!!! Posted 6 years ago
Spoiler free discussion can contain... Iunno general talk:

Have you guys seen it?
Are you satisfied with it?
Are you a Marvel fan or not?
What was the thater crowd like?

But if we wanna go to spoiler territory, I humbly suggest we use the spoiler tags.

Personally, I like the Marvel movies, but I never got emotionally attached to any of them, or the characters.
Which is why the movie was okay for me, but not really mond blowing, to be honest. And thankfully, the crowd was silent, so I could hear everything hahaha. Also, maybe an unpopular spoiler opinion, but...

I felt that Cap's ending was rushed, and I found Pepper's goodbye to Tony much more emotional than any other character encounter in Endgame.

@Fellowsheep: yeah, i usually start off simple. Tyen as i get more items, start being more elaborate with the designs.

@milkdaddy: i'm looking forward to meeting and chatting with you all :) Plus, I see the forums are active and going...which is amazing

@glume: oh maaaan a comic stooore. Is it as fun as it seems? I'm a game designer, myself. I work on hidden object games for a small company published by Big Fish Games. Hoping to find another gaming niche to work in, or shift to translating.

Aaaah, I'm so glad a lot of you joined in on the discussion! Warms my heart

@Glume: Thanks for the run-down, the concept is like on Solia, which I loved about that website initially. So I get the feeling I'll like Voltra just as much.
And thanks for the trade ;u;

@Kira: Yeah, I hope it continues to grow, as well. There aren't enough avatar communities, and they can be the best thing ever.

Oh wow, they released an app?
That's actually pretty great. And probably fairly difficult to maintain. I can't imagine the load time for an app.

@Mellonin: Oh yeah, agreed!
I used to be on Gaia for the mini games, and the aquarium ones... never really managed to build friendships with anyone.
Then I found Solia back in '09 and for about three years, or four, I was there. No mini games, just good ol' posting and hanging out.
Sadly, the servers went out one day (from what I've heard, since I left shortly prior), and nearly everyone lost their items and inventories. Then the website was sold to someone, cause the owners couldn't afford to keep it up.
And ever since the sale, it hasn't been the same...

@Zyqi: How's Gaia holding up? I think I tried visiting a few months back, since I remember my account and.... boy, is it a clusterf*ck.

@Robyn: Thanks a bunch! How frequent are the posts here. After lurking for a bit, it looks like most of the threads aren't as active. Looks like avatar forums are not doing so good.

Hello, everyone! Not sure how active this website is in general...
I've been looking for an avatar forum community for quite some time, and this is the first remotely active one I've been able to find! (I'm trying to steer clear from Gaia online, too chaotic for me)
And it looks soooo cool and chill <3

Nice to meet you all! Any tips on what I can expect from Voltra?
