@eerie: i really had to think hard about it... enough people i asked (i asked around my office too) said bronze to make me feel secure choosing it even though it wasn't the majority pick

i ended up going with bronze, sorry black wheel fans :( but a different set from what i had originally posted. these ones are better quality
they're big fat 9.5 inchers too. but the offset makes them stick out a little. i don't really like that but at least i can just stick mudflaps on it because subaru.

these pics sold me

now to battle the next enemy: brake dust. lol
