Oh! I've read the Asylum series. It's... Interesting? I have mixed feelings about it because I like the concept of the plot but for some reason I couldn't get myself into many of the characters. Felt rather plain to me... but that's just my opinion.
My recent purchases are mostly just books on writing. How to write character arcs, how to create compelling plotlines, etc. One book I am looking forward to receiving in the mail is one by Hirihiko Araki... In it he describes his creative process as a manga artist and that kind of thing is fascinating to me.

@Glume: This is very true. Some apps may show you as "online" even when you have your computer closed. The reason being, that if you have it on your mobile phone, you are always logged in unless you specifically log out or change your status.
Meaning, I could go out all day but still appear online because I have the app logged in on my phone. Even though I am busy doing things.
The other thing to consider is that he gripes at you for being too quiet... So here you are trying your best to be social. If he wants to ignore you when you are trying, that's on him. He's being unreasonable. (Of course it's best not to jump to conclusions until you know for certain someone is really brushing you off.)

I love both of them equally but I feel like I have a fonder experience with Starbound.
I was there during beta wayyyy back when there wasn't even a real storyline.
Nowadays I think the story is actually my least favorite part.
Exploring, leveling up, and building are what I have the most fun with.

I hate this feeling of looking at myself and feeling automatic disgust and disdain. Some days I look in the mirror and I think it's not that bad. Some days I even think I look cute, or pretty. But others I want to smash the mirror, or the camera, and never look at it again. I can never decide on a diet because I can't decide if I hate myself or should try to accept myself. I can't keep food down anyway, I'm so used to starving myself that one meal a day is just routine. I am constantly losing and gaining the same ten pounds no matter what I do. I inflate like a balloon and then shrink back down at the drop of a hat. My water intake is insanely low because all it ever does is bloat me. And if I'm bloated I feel tense and disgusting. I swell up like a literal whale and I hate it. No matter what I do with makeup I can never be satisfied because no camera ever catches a picture of me that's accurate. But what even is accuracy when I can never decide if I even like myself from the start. What the hell kind of dysphoric garbage is this? I hate it so much.

Guess who bought more art tutorial books. Meeee!!
I couldn't help it, they were SUPER discounted at Hobby Lobby. It's the last day of their Spring sale!
I will update my list with these books when I am done bc I feel like even if it's not a novel, it's still knowledge.

@Mousy: Yes!! Caillou is loud and bratty and is never punished. I HATE that show.
Oh, is Paw Patrol like a musical show then? That's neat. I think a catchy tune helps kids learn a lot.
I remember when I was in school some of the most important things I learned-- The states, the months, etc-- were through songs.
@Eask: Oh for sure! Sadness is one of the most beautiful human emotions to me.
I love music that is raw and full of passion even if it's about something depressing or painful.
I think it is way easier to connect to a song like that, rather than "Ey yo shawty gimme yo number."

Thank God I'm not the only one who hates Peppa and Caillou.
They are so lazily made and ugly and teach kids ZERO life lessons.
When I'm a parent I want my kids to watch fun stuff not that crap.
I will say Paw Patrol looks cute. Can't go wrong with adorable dogs.

Do you think she meant it as a joke or something? Cause if she was serious...
She would more than likely be using it to garner pity/attention. Which is a crappy thing to do.
I know a lot of people who have done that sort of thing to get people to pay for their med bills etc.

I really used to hate pop music in the 00's but with Spotify I keep getting suckered into listening to it.
It's so bad and lame and cheesy but it's so much fun to just lose yourself in it.
Found myself jamming to Poker Face the other day. No regrets.
