@Shadami: I guess that's fair. A cliche or predictable mystery can still be made fun.
Twists or other plot devices come in handy for that sort of thing, I think.
I actually had kind of a similar experience with Scythe. I predicted the end, but...
The characters went off in totally different directions than I thought they would.

I'm an eat-before-you-look kind of person. I used to obsess over calories.
So I tried to break the habit. But... Holy cow. Some stuff is just jam-packed.

They are deff hard to get right but once you get a good bit of practice in, it's fun.
