@Auxillatrix: Pretty similar actually; I'd like to teach math! I have a bachelor's already so I either need a master's in math to teach at the college level, or a Michigan teaching certificate to teach middle/high school (which I could get as part of a master's in education). Grad school is so expensive though and I'm already knee deep in debt... and of course, as you noted, teaching middle/high school is looking less appealing by the minute x_x

Well, I grew up in a small town, and there is just nothing to do for fun unless you like getting high in the parking lot behind the police station. It's also a pretty conservative place in general, except for the bigger cities or college towns, so unless you're a cis, straight, white Christian, you might have trouble making friends.

@Auxillatrix: Oh neat! What are you studying? I kinda wish I could go back to grad school but I don't drive and public transportation is basically nonexistent here x_x

Some parts of the UP are beautiful, we have lakes and waterfalls and huge forests... It's a nice place to vacation. Wouldn't recommend living there, except for like three cities, though.

@Unicorn: Ahhh that must be what confused me; I thought my first "accept" didn't work. I also thought you started the trade by accident at first because it looked empty, but I guess there is just a lot of clicking needed to finish trades :P

Your family and friends are lucky to have you! I'd help people move too if they needed me, but I'm not very useful at lifting heavy things and I can't drive, so... I don't get asked a lot :P

@Anarchist beauty: That's not a bad idea haha. I'm almost never on discord but I suppose I'd get on it more often if I had a good reason to.

@Auxillatrix: I've met like five others probably? Whereabouts in Michigan are you? I'm from the UP originally but I now live near Detroit. :)

@Anarchist beauty: I'm sure it's gonna happen to me a lot more with saph being down... But hopefully I find something that keeps me entertained, whether it's Voltra or someplace else.

@Len: Hm yeah, I've had some questionable experiences on caedon too... I'm really hoping Voltra is different! Ernya though, I have nothing but fond memories of, although I wasn't that active there so if there was drama I probably wouldn't have seen it >.>

@Unicorn: Oh I noticed that with my first post! I wasn't sure if it was 50 volts for every post or not, but I quickly figured out it must be length-based :)

I'm a slow poster, but I can get verbose so this system should work out in my favor ^^

Yeah, it did seem sudden... My partner is one of the devs and I didn't know anything until the announcement :/ You're right though, two weeks is better than a day, I guess. I'll miss it, but I hope the maintenance goes well. I'm rooting for them.

@Len: Where'd you come from? I've been on a lot of sites but I tend to ditch 'em at the first sight of toxicity. I have no tolerance for that sort of thing. ><
