Can confirm the hip problem. My bro's last German Shepard was a pure breed and got it very fast. His German Shepard now also starts to show signs of it.

I just let my dogs out in the garden, when I heard my neighbour say "Coming for dinner, sweety?". I said yes and it took a while before he understood it.
