You can share the items. You have to put them in the bank and then take them out with the other character.

After they changed to the game, they had to 'remake' a lot of items. They gave some items back to the people who had them, but not all. On 1 account, I had 100 inventory page, 300+ on another account. Now, the joined inventory I have, has 9 pages.
