Just off the main stage is a smaller stage area where Velvet sits on a stool, bedazzled mic in hand.
"Hello, loves! Hope you all are enjoying the show, but while we give the contestants a break,
why don't we have some fun?" She waves her hand to her side to draw your attention to a board with
nine cards scattered across it. "Behind each of these cards are different themes which
you will use to inspire your own avatars!" She stands from the stool and makes her way back to the main stage.
"I must get back to the show, darlings. I look forward to seeing what you all create for me!"

FLASH FASHION CONDITIONS
1) Each day will give you a different theme to make an avatar around.
This has nothing to do with the mystery basket contest above.
2) The next day I will announce which avatar I liked best!
3) You are free to enter into the daily theme at any point up until I announce the next flash theme.
which will be announced at 5pm VOLTRA time each day.
4) ONE entry per person! Submit your entry by pinging Velvet with
an image of your avatar (hosted on imgur, postimg, or something similar!)
5) You can only win no more than TWO flash themes of the nine.
But no worries dears, this won't remotely impact entries to the main competition.

PRIZES
Each theme's winner will receive 1k Volts that will be awarded
soon after being announced.

CONDITIONS

2) There is no specific theme, just make sure your piece is
creative, cohesive, and the items you picked aren't buried!
3) You may submit two entries via PRIVATE MESSAGE to Velvet.
Please also include the names of each item used.
4) Entries are open from December 23rd - January 1.
5) Voting will commence January 2nd, you will all be asked to PM Velvet your votes.

A large sign reading "FILMING TODAY, need contestants!" was plastered across the large
metal doors. Curious about the festivities, you waltz right in but the room is very dark. "Hello?"
you call out struggling to see. After a few steps forward dim lights on the ground lit up to guide the way.
After a few short turns you find yourself on the stage within an auditorium. You call out once more: "Is anyone here?"
Suddenly! Intense music blares off and one by one the large stage lights snap on temporarily blinding you.
Before your eyes is a full house audience, and by your side people dressed formally.

"We have our final contestant folks! Let's give them a round of applause!"
Velvet stands up from the table ahead of you and begins to clap, the audience following suit and cheering out.
You had wanted to ask questions first, but it's too late right now. You accidentally signed yourself up and the show
has begun. Flying camera's pan over each contestant and you give a nervous smile and hesitant wave.

"Contestants from all over Voltra have come today to battle it out in our Fashion Stadium.
We have an array of prizes to be won, but be mindful of mistakes or else you'll get CROPPED!. Our judges
are YOUR FELLOW VOLTIES who will judge on: Creativity, Cohesiveness, and representation of the items in
your basket. CONTESTANTS, you may open your baskets now!"

Day 6: Velvet appears a healthy mix of nervous and excited, she mumbles herself a quick pep talk then sings her line as if it was a holy duty.
On the sixth night of Solstice, Panthalassa gave to thee:
Fleece for warming!
Her cheeks flush a little red in concern that she may have over-done it. After scanning the crowd and seeing
nothing but smiles she let her shoulders slump down to release the last of her pent up nerves.

(A letter addressed to 17 year old Wil from their mother, who is currently taking care of her mother.)
To Wil,

First and foremost, Happy 17th Birthday! I hope you like the scarf and hat I’ve sent with this letter. Please wear it! I know your style doesn’t always work with hats, but please—I know how cold it gets over there. If it’ll encourage you more, your grandmother and I had them specially made for you by one of her friends. He works only with fleece and wool! We know how much you like hand-crafted and natural items.

She misses you. She’s recovering from surgery well and feels up to more things with each passing week. I’ve already explained your pronouns to her. Whenever she brings you up, she’s extra sure to say “they” or “them.”

And I miss you too! I hope you decide to stay with us this time next year. We’ll plan so many fun things to do. We’ll go to a bunch of new, hip places, see some independent movies, find another plant or two for you to take back to your father’s. Mother should be feeling much better by then and can join us on the fun.

I know you didn’t want me to move… And I didn’t want to ruin this letter talking about it… But she’s my mother, and this is her home.

Anyway, I hope you can visit soon. I love you.
