Yes it definintly help. I do think it depends on the brand you use, just like with nail polish.

I have no idea what gloopy means. If you mean like thick I use a nail polish thinner to make it wearable again.

@Unicorn: Yes I slept well. I wanted it to be a bit longer but woke up needing to go to the toilet.

And I used a holographic top coat on top of it.
