i think in the future i’d like to try it where i keep stuff on separate layers so the bg can have a “thicker” 3d effect (offset by more pixels) and the foreground just a little - that way the subject isn’t headache inducing to look at and maybe can give a sense of depth :0
i don’t usually do it til the very end tho so .... idk needs foresight lol

⠀|⠀post art by kiwi!⠀|⠀spooky chat@vixen: the random inversions are kind of throughout! it's hard to tell cuz there are number of things being layered but u can kind of see it more clearly in bottom left shapes for example , they're in a couple of places tho!
i recently learned how to do the 3d effect and it's actually really simple! i watched this video and it really only takes a few seconds lol. i was super tempted to lay it on thick but i was like this is probably too much haha

- got some cracked glass pictures and put on exclusion blending mode (i also tried dodge and invert+screen but ended up liking exclusion best) - this is most of the glass shatter heavy lifting
- there's a spider web somewhere back there
- polygon lasso tool to select random shapes and inverted them, do that multiple times for some of the sections
- mild 3d effect from duplicating layer + blending options + deselected the R from the RBG channels + move tool to scoot the layer a few pixels (wanted to do more but wasn't sure if it was too headache inducing already lol)

i usually link to the item museum and newbie guide but it seems to be covered already ^^
hmm what else is helpful to know ... volts you get from posting, ohms are the premium currency, crates are our monthly donation items, orbs are random item generators (rigs) that update every few months that you can either get w volts (common orbs) or premium currency (charged orbs)!
the pawns are event currency - we have an event going on right now :-) you can click on the glowy mirror thing to the right of the currency to get to the event dashboard page, and playing the games (click on the icons on the checkerboard) will grant you free event items! feel free to ask me any questions if u have them ^^
