i'm only abt 1/4 or 1/3 so far ?? i think i'm enjoying it so far tho!
how many books are in the series? do u think you'll keep reading??
i got halfway thru nk jeminsin's fifth season trilogy but am only halfway thru the second book! i kind of just wasn't in the mood for fantasy around that point and felt like reading another genre, and then i forgot to go back to it after that feeling passed lol
i definitely have favorite genres but i think it can be nice to change it up, diff books have diff vibes and i think satisfy different parts of my brain lol ... like some books are for pleasure some books are like , i am learning (e.g. nonfiction) and those are not the same mood lol

@hachi: oohh airbrush flats ?? that's fun ... i feel that idk what i'm doing either lmao
ohh i didn't think of adding noise to a white layer :0 i only do it at the very end after merging everything but sometimes i'm like oh no i wanted to change something guess i can't lol
haha i'll try to compile prog pix sometime when i have time!! i can ping u or something? :3
i keep a copy of the unmerged group and just turn off the visibility :0 having one layer can be helpful for when i wanna erase stuff and don't have to dig thru every layer lol ... but yeah i was afraid of merging at first but eventually i was like ah i don't care anymore lol... plus i think w painting the mindset is like ... if you make mistakes you just paint over! (which is how you would think abt irl painting)
yeah i even if i hate it i force myself to keep going lmao ... i feel like the post processing can "save" a lot of my pieces - idk if that's a good process though >_> but i think sometimes adjusting curves fixes like value issues. i think my mindset is that everything leading up to post processing (including the airbrushing colors part) is just laying the foundation to do the fun stuff ... (once again idk if this is good or bad or not....) i think it works for me cuz i really enjoy photo editing and i think the post process is similar fun lol
multiple layers is nice cuz you can clipping mask for specific sections ... but more effort sometimes... i think i'll do multiple layers if i'm trying to go more cell shading and i do one layer if i'm painting and feeling lazy?

ahh that's so nice ^^ i think the weather here is similar! it's like hot in the sun and cold in the shade tho lol
yes def! i accidentally had too much coffee today though so i hope i didn't ruin it already T_T we'll see ...
if anything i'll try to get up early tmr either way , even if i can't fall asleep early i'll still get up at the same time and hopefully that'll keep me on track!
my routine lately has been, get up, (check voltra for 30-60 min lol), breakfast, art for a bit, lunch, read, then start work in the afternoon @@
i'd like to do some baking though! we don't have baking pans but we do have like the glass dishes .. ? not the same but hopefully can make do!

@wildfire: oohh it's been odd that i've been able to wake up before my alarm lately :0 it's so different from my usual routine, of going to bed late and then fighting the alarm lol
what would ur 7 minute workout consist of? :3
going for walks in florida sound nice though, since (i assume) the weather right now is pretty good? ^^ do you have good walking paths in your area?
the place i'm staying at now, the neighborhood doesn't have a dedicated sidewalk but i've just been walking on the side of the road haha

@wildfire: haha ... your sons are both adults now though right? i guess you have pets too though ... are either of your kids thinking of moving out anytime soon?
sob if only no covid! i'd love to travel around like that as well ... starting a garden would be lovely though what would you grow? :"-) any particular arts or crafts you'd wanna do first?
i hope i can do some landscape or still life oil painting! :3 usually my apt feels too cramped for it (since fumes)
i probably would go to the beach at some point during this time :0 i don't have any camping gear tho ... i wish! what kind of books do you usually read?

i ... uhh actually also left the states for ~2 months lol ... it was cold and dark in ny but it's summer here and so nice! i was kind of hesitate/nervous at first and was like is it dumb ?? but i'm so glad i did it... it's only been a few days and it's been super worth it so far already!
i guess u can always find ways to justify stuff you do or wanna do ... but i guess part of my justification was that covid is way worse in the states than it is here and maybe it's better for the us to have fewer ppl in it ? >_> and it would have been really miserable to stay thru winter in ny in quarantine ...

time to make more friends .. ?? lol ... idk yeah i feel like i haven't seen ur usual crew around much lately u_u
i just got discord so i could start going to the voltra community discussions :0 but it doesn't seem so active so i don't really check it that often ... i guess other ppl who use discord more probably leave it open and chat on it more regularly though ?
ohhh yeah like everyone keeps having to do it from scratch every time?!?!? that would drive me up a wall lol ... once place i taught at would have multiple cohorts in multiple locations and every set of instructors would have to come up w a bunch of stuff from scratch each time ??? i was like why ........ why reinvent the wheel so many times ... in multiple locations , multiple times a year, every year ... oof lol . and it kind of discourages you from really investing in it cuz it's just like well it's only gonna get used this one time and then never again??

hmm i'm not sure yet tbh ........ i think for some of it i'd wanna go hiking, and probably do some painting ... reading ...
