yeah i think i'm used to it from living in cities :-/ like i did get p used to hearing sirens all the time and honestly it's not exactly peaceful lol
i think if you're prone to anxiety too it might not be ... helpful

yeah and i would say it's totally super valid to want to feel safe secure and comfortable in your neighborhood!
and me saying nothing has happened to me is also just anecdotal , like i do hear abt crime happening in the areas i lived in and it does happen

i think i've lived in neighborhoods considered "" less safe "" but it seemed fine for me personally ...
i think something else too is like higher crime rates are sometimes a reflection of just like. higher / over policing (racism)
but at the end of the day if it affects your comfort levels w the neighborhood it would be better for ur mental health to be somewhere you feel comfortable
