My word for 2020 is courage.

It was actually a word that I stumbled on a lot in the last few months of 2019 while I was job hunting. Surprisingly, it was the word in my head before the interview to get the f/t job im starting this year. It's my first ever f/t job and I'm leaving my comfort zone so I need to be courageous to succeed. It's daunting but I'm really excited to see how far I can go this year.

My family and our friends do that tradition as well! We're from the Philippines too :) Not sure where that tradition originated from but most of my childhood memories is pretty much shaking a bunch of coins in our hands/pockets as we watch the New Year Eve's fireworks.

Our New Year has mellowed down now so we usually just stay at home and watch the fireworks on TV. It's a normal day for me but it's always nice to relax.

@eleven: It would be September. August is the last month of Winter and it's still pretty cold. But if you're used to the cold than our winter will still be considered warm haha
