Manatees are so cute, but I don’t like dolphins. /: I found out they’re really mean and like to rape things.

You still need to be careful of currents and tides in the Gulf though, so if you visit, be aware... but in a lot of ways, it's probably safer than the oceans. And yes, many fewer and smaller waves!!

@Wildfire: What state do you live in? :3 Because there are some states that touch the gulf that are def not relaxing for me to visit.

@Wildfire: Florida is on the ok list. Definitely a chill touristy place. I’ve never been to the west part of it, though.

There are some decent spots on the TX side of things, though they're not the prettiest views. Gulf waters are usually gray.

I’ve been to the touristy spots, like Orlando and Miami, and they’re niiiiice. Though I’ve heard some of the beaches were closed because of this one dangerous algae last summer. ):

@Tsundererra: the west coast is probably more chill than the east coast..
@inatlaka: it's good... really hot and humid most of the time, but right now, it's really nice out there (which is why all the snowbirds are here right now)

@Priestess of Pie: Yeah, the Gulf is not my favorite spot to scuba dive, that's for sure... it's just murky most of the time...

@Tsundererra: yes, the algae is an issue, unfortunately. If you were in Orlando, that's not far from the Gulf...only a couple of hours
