@athabm: omg yeah.. auditioning was always so gut wrenching. i was in tys too for a couple seasons (as the price to get in is prettyy steep) but the experience was totally worth it. the orchestra was surprisingly talented and i absolutely loved playing the music. one season we played music from movies and the next was a tour of american composers. loved it. i also did their summer camp thing and attended one by the max aronoff viola institute up by seattle somewhere. bunches of fun for sure
@Totalanimefan: my friend growing up had a really fluffy orange cat, I think it was a tabby but I'm not actually sure now haha but I have seen an orange longhair.

@ephenay: My viola instructor was one of the people who organized the Max Aronoff Institute summer camp at Bastyr. I only went for one summer, since I think I didn't start studying with her until my junior year of high school.
My favorite year at tys was when we played Resphghi and debuted a piece by a contemporary composer. It was nice to get a chance to play with a group like that.

@athabm: oh wow that's incredible. the mavi summer camp was something i never would've imagine to exist. wish i had gone more than once myself XD i still have notes from the viola masterclass there. it's really cool to hear you had a great experience too <3
