"Yknow what...yeah i would" he then looked to ryker smiling.

"How about that tea you made for me that one time when i was really sick. with that cold..." he said thinking.

"It was...snowing...in the cabin...two weeks before my brithday" he said

Ryker paused for a moment, and dug into his memories.

He thought for a good 10 seconds, before snapping his fingers.

"Ah!" he exclaimed.

"I remember that!" he told Eke.

"Yeah, sure, no problem." he said.

"I can definitely make that up for you when we get home." he finished with a light smile.

"Thanks...itd be great after a nap" he said slowly making his way to the van.

"Im sorry" he said. it wasnt directed specifically at ryker but the demon.

He knew he overreacted some he was just so upset.

"Maybe one day id like to talk to him but...he deserves rest right now. he was just uprooted from his grave after 16 years" he said getting in.

They all got in the Van, and Ryker pulled out of the parking lot. Soon, they were on their way.

There was silence for a moment, before Ryker sighed.

"He's not saying anything to me." he told him.

"That being said, I know he heard what you said." he went on.

"And I know it reached him." he assured Eke.

"Just give him time to realise that you two need to make nice-nice."

"I guess ill just have to wait" he said.

Things felt like they were getting worse for him.

Maybe..he should go. just a small trip. He survived okay before ryker.

He closed his eyes feeling drained already.

When the van stopped he sat up having dozed off.

He wiped his mouth sighing. "I didnt mean to fall asleep...again"

"Unless you... all right, why is it bad?" he asked.

"I just feel like...im sleeping too much..." he said yawning.

"I mean i was gonna nap at home not in the car" he said.

"I guess im just...down...i need a trip" he said deciding it was better to say so than to sneak out.

By his tone, it was obvious he had thought about sneaking out.

"If you need to get away, you don't need to hide it." she told him.

"We all want you to feel better. Do what makes you feel good." she continued.

"I need to make sure I get the vacation time." he told him.

"Or see if I can just get the time off." he went on.

"My boss is pretty good, so it shouldn't be an issue." he then assured him.

"I'll call him when we get home."

"...................." both Aly and Ryker were silent, before Ryker sighed heavily.

He looked around, before finding a parking lot for a drugstore, and pulling into it.

"Excuse the delay." he said to Aly.

"Not even a bother." Aly assured him.

Ryker then took out his cell phone, called his boss, and started conversing with him, negotiating time off.

Eke seemed excited, happy even.

"Thankk you aly...thank you so much!" he said hugging her tightly and kissing her cheeks

He finally calmed himself not wanting to go back to the hospital

Aly was shocked by the sudden display of affection, but she wasn't about to complain.

She merely returned the hug as best she could, and smiled at him.

"It's good to see you so happy, Eke." she told him gently.

"...all right... all right, thanks boss. Yeah, I get it. Cool. Thanks again." he went on.

"Bye." he finished, before hanging up.

"We got 3 weeks." he told Eke.

"Combining vacation days with... well, downtime from the non-busy season." he explained.
