Desiree just chuckled lightly.

"thanks, Jaden." She said simply.

"I'd be understating it, to just say I appreciate it. " She added.

"Just... thank you."

"Very true." Desiree admitted before sighing.

"Sadly, just... I dunno. I've been so on edge for the past while, and it's most definitely not fun." She added.

"I keep feeling like someone's following me."

Desiree was silent for a moment before nodding.

"Yeah... I'll definitely keep you posted on that." She assured him.

"Because, honestly? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared."

"But I haven't .... seen anything super alarming, I suppose."

Desiree nodded.

"That's fair. I know that meetings like that, the crap that has to be done to make sure everything looks good regarding legalities and earnings and all that, are a pain and quite draining." She commented.

"So yeah, head to bed. I'll occupy myself without issue." She added with a light laugh.

"Yeah of course." Desiree said with a nod before he was gone.

A few hours later, Jaden was woken abruptly. There was a change in the suite, although he couldn't pinpoint it for the moment.

He could just sense it, in one way or another. Something was different, something had changed.

"The hell?" He muttered as he got to his feet, put his hat on, before approaching the door. As his hand grasped the handle, he realised it wasn't something in there.

As he opened the door, he was able to pinpoint it.

Desiree's heartbeat, something he was normally able to hear quite well, was extremely weak.

When he found Desiree, he could see, easily, that it was taking all she had to stay conscious. It was extremely difficult fo rher to breathe, and it wasn't something that was too surprising. Her face was swollen, and he could easily see the hives that were going beneath her collar.

"j..." She started, but was barely able to get anything more out. It was taking too much effort and concentration to keep breathing, to keep fighting to keep breathing at the moment.

The only reason why she was able to as well as she could, was because of her wind mana.

Desiree didn't say anything, but that wasn't too surprising. The EpiPen was a lovely thing that could save a life most certqainly, but it wasn't instant, it would still take up to 15 minutes.

She didn't move from where she was, not entirely sure if she could, as Jaden dashed off for his phone. He found it, although it wasn't as quickly and easily as he would have ideally liked at this current time, and quickly called Rene.

While he was doing that, Desiree was sitting on the couch, continuing to use her wind to help with her breathing as best she could, but was starting to feel it starting to fade.

She was having a harder time keeping up with it, and knew it was because of the fact that if her epipen didn't work, this would kill her.

"What? How the hell would that have happened?" Kalin asked as she followed Rene while he grabbed what he needed.

"Seriously. The hell?"

"I know you can't answer, but... still." She paused a moemnt.

"This is concerning."

Desiree was silent, as wasn't surprising, but didn't say anything.

Both Jaden and Rene could literally see the change as what she'd been given took effect.

"Th... thank you R-R-r-r-rRene..." She managed to get out after a few seconds, the stutter that Rene was well aware of, yet Jaden didn't know about, coming back again. It was to be expected though. Always happened when something like this occurred.

Sometime later, Desiree was sitting in where she'd been placed, waiting to hear test results back, to make sure she was good to go.

As she was there, someone else approached the front entryway and requested to see one of those that were there for treatment. They were let in without much question, which wasn't too surprising if one were to think about it. They were claiming to be family, and they had no reason not to let them in.

Soi when he stepped into where Desiree was, the magician just paled.

"No.." She said quietly before doing a quick look around, hoping to find a quick way out.
