- I didn't really even start having an actual experience of hanging out with people and doing what I imagine is "normal teenage things" regularly until I was basically already done with high school

hmm sometimes i stay away from my phone / keep my laptop on dnd so feels slightly more like having a desktop pre-smartphone era .... ?
i also treat my messages/texts like email (pre-smartphone) sometimes - like i'll check it whenever i feel like sitting down to check it all, as opposed to checking notifs

- Yeah I did lol, it was a long string of events that started with me thinking "huh yknow this is all kinda a waste of time, I'm not going to be a mathematician so why should I bother going on with my advanced math classes screw this" in middle school

- Kinda glad thought they changed the laws in my state to make dropout age 18 rather than 16, I tried to dropout at 16 using my epilepsy as a medical excuse, and if I wasn't told I couldn't do that, I would have grown as much as a person and made my closest friends

- The funniest part about that thought process that started it all in middle school: I now waste my time making unnecessary math problems to solve myself, like the time I figured out how long it would take five people perfectly timing each post in the undercurrent to complete a 1 million page thread

- Honestly my friends I have now are worth the endless amount of dirty looks I got from the bouncers and several teachers every time I passed them in the halls
