I would love to see more 80s style movies honestly. Like Thor Ragnarok. Had all the fun of a high adventure cheesy romp without the gross sexism of the 80s

People around here love they loud cars. And they love to zoom around the neighborhood in the middle of the night. Great combination.

Like I don't need a bunch of 80s movie reboots (tho they can be really good *cough*ghostbusters*cough*). Just tired of the same grimdark crap over and over again

Movie-wise what I want people to bring back is practical effects and hand drawn animation. I hate all this CGI crap we have now. It all looks the same, fake and un-expressive. There's no love or magic in it. It's OK to use a little, but practical should outweigh the CGI imo.

I lot of angry internet dudes hated the new ghostbusters. It was a good movie, they just hated that something might not completely cater to them

I will say this, a lot of more recent CG cartoons look really good; they found a style that works well with the medium and that's fine. but I still miss good old hand-drawn stuff and wish we'd at least see some every now and then.
Live action movies, though, always kinda fail to impress when they rely too heavily on CG. The 80s was a good time for practical effects.

The LOTR trilogy is like, my gold standard of practical/cgi integrated effects. If you've never watched the extended appendices I highly recommend it

hmm guess it depends on the practical effect
but they also seem more wasteful than computer generation |D
