@Anarchist Beauty: I'm a couple of hours from Portland, but near one of the big fires here in OR. So the smoke has been settling in our area for weeks before the big labor day weekend fires/smoke hit.
We've been boiling water with herbs from the garden to drop the smoke within the house. Luckily our house is pretty well insulated.

It's just annoying that it's all making the sky turn colors. I don't have it bad but it's been all dingy and sepia looking for weeks now. It's ugly.

I'd probably pick the beach. I like the ocean, and I like finding shells and seeing sea creatures. I don't really like deep water though, so I just stay in the shallow water

Holy sheeet I finally finished this story. It is so much longer than I originally intended but I managed to tame it. I could probably go on writing it but I really need to work on other stuff lmao.
