He was caught off guard by the last wish, but nodded.

"Of course." he replied.

He then snapped his fingers, and Angela went into a trance of... nothing.

If she were to explain it, it would be mental static. But she kept seeing pointed ears.

Elven. The man was elven in nature.

But beyond that, she got nothing. Like she was hitting a wall.

Angela was completely silent before just taking a breath to try and avoid the sob that was treatening to come froth.

".... All I got, was that there is something elven involved." She told him honestly.

"At least it's something. Thank you." With that, she turned to leave. As she did so though, she heard the one thing she was thinking from him.

A low growl, with naught but a name.

"Encrae." He growled before pausing and approaching, laying a hand on her shoulder.

"Angela... what's this about Liv?" He asked. Angela was silent, having stopped as he laid his hand on her.

"... Liv's missing." was all she said.

Hal was silent, before nodding.

"I see." he said.

"That's it, then." he went on.

"She's gone and made it personal." he said further.

"And now this has crossed to the point where Hollie Remmington needs to know about it." he then went on.

"The Council and Triad have been trying forever to put a stop to her, and they need to know about her interfering with the Unit. Directly, now." he continued.

"...we'll find Liv. I promise." he reassured Angela.

Angela didn't say anything, couldn't for the moment, before just nodding. He could tell that she wanted to crack, to break down here, but she was staying strong.

she had to, after all. She was needed there, and she knew that if she were to break down, it would not do any good for anyone.

"Ah, right. May I make use of your skillset again?" She asked, pertaining to Ilias' research."[/b]

"Of course." Hal responded.

"I wish to know if Ilias is on the right path with his and Reveka's research." Angela said.

Hal then nodded, and snapped his fingers. Again, she was thrown into a trance-like state... but this wasn't blank this time.

She saw souls, she saw bodies, she saw mana barriers between them, she saw Aedan and Ilias working... she saw barriers being chipped away, as Aedan's notes swirled around her like a tornado.

And then she found herself being held up by Hal.

"You almost collapsed." he said. "And I KNOW that means you at least saw SOMETHING substantial." he added.

Angela had to take a few breaths before she was able to say anything.

"... well.. that one was far more of a rush than I'm used to from you." She answered before meeting his gaze.

"And yeah. I'll say. Doubt I could properly make sense of it, as it's all alchemy based and I'm not an alchemist, but I do think that I've got some information for Ilias." she continued.

"And I think with it, he might be able to help those that are catatonic."

Hal nodded in response.

"All right." he replied.

"At least it's SOME good news." he muttered. "Something we've been in desperate need of, for whatever it's worth." he muttered further.

"Anyway, if you're good now, I'll let you be off." he told her.

"I have some calls to make." he said.

"Specifically, to Lady Remmington and Lady Bathory." he said further.

"They're going to want to involve the Triad and Council now, and quite frankly, we need all the help we can get at this point."

Angela nodded.

"I'll let you know what Ilias finds out." Was the last thing she said before giving him a hug, and heading off.

She returned to the med wing looking both devastated and determined, before hunting out Nate. She asked where Ilias was, was told, and headed off before he could ask her anything.

"---ed with the main mana source will help cause a reconnection." Alicja said.

"The only issue, is that it can have extreme side effects. If it's even just a sliver out of whack - or out of sync with the mana - it will cause one hell of a bad reaction and dislodge the soul even more." She added as Angela approached the door.

"That's... concerning." he said.

"I might need Robyn's help with this." he told her.

"I don't think I'm skilled enough to perform that alone." he lamented, before noticing Angela.

"Oh!" he exclaimed.

"Hello again." he greeted her.

Angela just waved before sighing.

"What's going on now?" She asked.

"Explaining something that Cain told me." Alicja answered honestly.

"Is it pertaining to having the souls actually reattach?" Angela asked.

It is. That's the running theory at the moment." Alicja commented.

"But we'll need some extremely skilled minds and talents to do it." Ilias said.

"Someone that knows alchemy, and souls." he went on.

".........like Kiah. Or Aedan." he muttered after a long pause.

"But they aren't options, obviously." he sighed.

"So I'm running through other options. Like... well... Robyn." he said further.

"She's the only alchemist left whose soul isn't separated."

"That ... makes complete sense." Angela commented before making her way to a pad of paper and pen that were hanging off of the fridge. She quickly jot down some of the equations that had been thrust into her mind for the moment.

"This might help though." She said before tearing the page off and passing it over to Ilias.

"Let's just say that I came across some information that might help."

Ilias looked at what she had given him, and they both saw his eyes pop open.

"...this..." he stammered.

"This bridges almost everything together!" he exclaimed.

"Alija, with this info, just myself and Robyn may be enough to start bringing people back!" he went on, before looking at Angela.

"These are... brilliant!" he told her.

"I don't know where you got these, but whomever gave them to you is a genius!"

"Happy to help." Angela said with a smile.

"I can't promise that I'll know it later." She added with a light chuckle. "But I will jot down all I can remember."

"That would likely help a lot." Alicja agreed with a nod.

"Ilias, I'll likely run something down to you later. For now, I need to make sure that Nate isn't freaking out with concern." Angela said before heading off to do just that.

Ilias watched her go, before looking at Alicja.

"Finally, some GOOD news." he said.

"...now I just have to wait for Robyn to wake up..." he mumbled.

Meanwhile, Angela found Nate directing the staff around, getting people to where they were supposed to go, and she then saw him shoot a glare in the direction outside the medical wing.

And she KNEW who he'd be looking at.

He continued to glare for another moment, before his eyes narrowed, and he looked back over, noticing Angela.

"Welcome back." he greeted her.

"Hey. Sorry about abandoning you like that. Had to relay something to Ilias." She told him honestly as she grabbed a pad of paper and started writing something out.

"anything notable happen while I was gone?" She asked, managing to split her attention between what she was writing, and the conversation.

"Not really." Nate replied.

"Managed to orgaanise the staff here into teams, and they have designated areas and tasks, so things should be running smoothly." he told her.

"You can now work at a more leisurely pace if you want." he informed her further.

"And SOMEONE keeps hovering around the outside HALLWAY, even though I KNOW they're there!" he then called out sharply.

"And if they DON'T SCRAM, then they'll be WRITTEN UP to SHARP!" he added.

"...I swear, he's annoying as hell." he growled.

Angela was silent for a moment before shaking her head.

"Nahh. Don't report him to sharp." She stated simply.

"Wait, waht?" Nate asked, obviously stunned for the moment.

"If that little shit doesn't learn his lesson, I'll fire him instead." She added.

"I am his boss, after all." She paused a moment, sighing.

"Plus, that little incident earlier is reason enough to fire him. I just decided to be nice and give him a chance to explain himself tomorrow. However, if he keeps lingering around here, then that offer's off the table, simple as that."

Nate raised an eyebrow when Angela explained her reasoning.

"Well, then." he said.

"That's one of the reasons you're the boss here." he chuckled, before clearing his throat.

"I hate how he sometimes acts like I'm below him, just because I'm new." he then muttered. "I swear he thinks you're favouriting me to spite him." he said further.

"Never seems to occur to him that I get treated 'better' than him because I'm competent." he went on, before pausing again.

"Okay, he's competent to, but... MAN he has NO foresight. At ALL. And never seems to understand why that gets him in trouble."
