"....huh." Addison muttered.

"Fair... fair enough..." he said.

"What's its status?" he asked.

"Like, it gonna live or die?" he asked further.

"The priority here is to get you to the medical wing, obviously, but I'll need to make note on the creature roster." he reasoned.

"Are we minus one Rosea Conda?"

Addison was... clearly confused by her response, but he obliged her and helped her to her feet, being extra careful. Allowing her to use him for support, he got her out of the biome, and locked the door behind them when they stepped out.

"You are lucky to be alive." he told her as they walked.

"And I'm just glad my mana knew what to do." he said further.

"I don't know much about healing and such." he sighed.

"I really should learn."

"Yeah, no problem..." Addison replied.

"You were in really bad shape." he said to her, as they made their way through the corridors, various people exclaiming their worries at her state, with her always having to assure them she'd be fine.

Addison had to chuckle about it.

"You're a newer addition to this place, relatively speaking." he said.

"And already, we can't picture this place without you."

Addison managed to keep her on her feet, and kept walking with her, helping her get to the medical wing. As they approached it, they saw Ash stepping out, looking... a bit worse for the wear.

"Woah." Addison muttered.

"The hell happened to Ash?" he wondered aloud.

Ash seemed to be talking with someone still in the wing, before he finished and started to walk in the direction they were coming from, but paused when he saw them.

And looked quite surprised at Nailah's state.

Addison nodded in response.

"Of course." he said, as he headed off to find the head medic, just as Ash approached her.

"Yo." the Fyrane greeted her.

"You look like shit." he said bluntly.

"Then again, I didn't look much better a bit earlier..." he then admitted quietly.

"What happened?" he asked.

"And what's up? Why'd you call me over?" he asked further.

Ash looked around slightly, before sighing quietly.

"...yes." he replied in a whisper.

"I didn't feel the... sensation... of dying." he told her.

"Normally I'd feel a strange out-of-body momentary blip... didn't happen this time." he went on.

"That damned manticore just wouldn't DIE, though." he growled. "No matter what I did, it just continued to LIVE." he lamented.

"...also yeah, you look like you should be dead." he then commented.

"But you're not. Clearly."

"...." Ash was silent as he heard that.

"I..." he started to say, before Nailah shushed him quietly, as Addison had returned with Emelie.

"So as you can see, she's in really bad shape." he finished saying to the head medic. "I managed to do what little I could with my pure mana, so at least I was able to get her here." he went on.

"Is there anything else?" he then asked Nailah.

"Will you be okay?" he asked further.

"Because I should probably report this incident to my Mom." he told them.

Addison nodded in response, and excused himself, before leaving. Ash watched him go, and didn't speak until he was out of sight.

"Anyway..." he muttered.

"Yeah, this is... freaky." he said.

"I knew something was up when I didn't 'die' to a lot of those wounds." he went on. "And that manticore survived stuff that it shouldn't have. By far." he added.

"I don't know HOW things are staying alive. But I don't like it." he said further.

"It's messing with nature."

Ash thought for a moment more.

"Can you try actually contacting one of the reapers?" he asked.

"Or Jack?" he asked further.

"If they're not doing their job, then... perhaps we should ask." he said.

"Or try and find out what's going on... through them. They'd know what's going on, yeah?" he asked.

"But... I dunno, I admit, I don't know how those channels work. Even though I technically SHOULD." he admitted sheepishly at the end.

Ash just groaned.

"Right." he said.

"Want me to get Vyn down here?" he asked.

"I know she's got the medical training, and seeing as I'm grounded for a good long while, I'm pretty sure I can handle the front door." he reasoned.

"Because something tells me this place is going to need all the competent help it can get." he mumbled further.

"...to understate it." he added.
