"The natural balance has been thrown off." he said further.

"Because... this..." She sighed heavily.

"This scares me." She admited. "This is unnatural, and the grand design, whatever that is, is seriously at risk now."

"If this continues, then the world itself will be thrown into literal chaos." he said.

"It will be a domino effect. Slow to start, but it will get bigger extremely rapidly." he went on.

"...damn it." he then cursed, shaking his head.

"For now, I need to look into this." She then said.

"I'll talk to you later." With that, she knocked her staff to the floor, vanishing on the third.

Vincent watched her go, and sighed.

"...Madison." he then mumbled.

"Where ARE you?" he asked.

"WHAT is going on?" he wondered further, not even knowing how to begin to track her or try and find her.

She woke with a start, pain wracking through her for a few seconds. It faded after a few seconds, which was good, and she as able to breathe as she got to her feet.

"What the hell happened?" She wondered, looking around. She was in an alleyway, wtih the busy city around her.

As she looked around, she noticed that she didn't have her bear, the same one she usually had with her. It was odd, but ... considering how she felt, she really wasn't surprised.

"All right, scarf. Lead me somewhere safe, will ya?" She asked the material around her neck quietly. Sure enough, it moved to point her in a direction, subtley. It could easily be mistaken as from the wind, thankfully.

She walked up to the building and stepped inside to meet the front desk.

"Hey there Jacob." She greeted with a wave.

"Any chance Sharp is in?" She asked. "I need to speak with him."

Jake paused as he looked from his paper to her.

"..." he was silent, narrowing his eyes a little, before they widened.

"You... when I was dying the one time, you stepped in to tell that reaper guy to stop being an asshole and making me think it was my time." he remembered.

She remembered it, too. Gregory decided to have a bit of fun with Jake when a mission went sour, but she stepped in and gave the reaper a small scolding.

"...he IS in, yes." he then said.

"Why are you going through ME?" he asked.

"I'm reasonably certain that this is beter to go through the proper channels to speak with him, instead of just arriving there." She answered with a small smile.

"And please, 'you'? My name is Madison." She added with a light laugh. "And the other guy is Gregory, and he's an asshole."

Jake's tongue darted out from his mouth, and she saw his confused expression.

"...ah..." he stammered.

"All right, your mana seems familiar... vaguely... from that one encounter... but it also seems like it's radically different at the same time... but also, it feels so very familiar for reasons I can't explain." he went on, unaware he was smelling the familiarity for when Casey had been there a few times in the past, as well as Evan, once or twice.

"Normally we require I.D. for this, but... I..." he then stammered further.

"is there anyone here that you think could identify you definitively?" he asked.

"Because if so, I can get them here to confirm who you are, and you can go with them." he said.

"Unless you DO happen to have I.D."

"My ID is only thirty years out of date." Madison answered.

"Also, name's Madison Kiczys, and I'm dead, how the hell am I suppose to HAVE ID?" She asked with a laugh.

"But... Azazel, Ezekiel, Tyson, or possible Roxanna would know me." She added after a moment.

"Ty's probably best. Or Lunet. I've seen them both a fair bit. Ty most so though, because he has an addiction to dying, I think."?

"...yeah, sounds like him." Jake sighed, before pressing the intercom button.

"Agent King to security check. Agent King, security check." he said.

"And Kiczys..." he then mumbled, releasing the button.

"Oh!" he exclaimed.

"Related to Casey Kiczys and HER son." he guessed.

"She's been here a few times to spruce up this place with art, and I think Evan's been looking for work in this city, and has been here a few times to use some of the resources and tools we offer." he went on.

"Or to visit Kiah." he added at the end.

"I'm not surprised that Evan's been around. His love is nearby, and if I recall correctly, he's looking to hopefully move into the city to be closer for Blaire's sake." Madison commented.

"But yes. Casey is my daughter." She then said. "Along with Kalin."

"She loves this place, too. If it weren't for the fact that she hates the country, she'd move down here in a heartbeat, as she finds it to be rather gorgeous in the right areas."
