@Koah: Thanks. I wish you could homeschool her, but it is what it is and the more we talk about it, the more it sounds like the poor kid just needs some of the pressure (that her mom is putting on her) taken off. She needs to decompress. But yes, you'll figure it out :3

@Miss Sandman: LOL - yes, he is a legal adult at 18, can vote in our elections and join the army, but has to wait until he's 21 to drink. I think it's really stupid, actually.
Awww, poor baby! She's ok otherwise? Things like that are bound to happen, though. It makes for good stories later... like when they're 18 and do stupid things or you just want to embarrass them ;) <3

It sounds like she will learn good things from being with you. I've seen a lot of kids who need to decompress, unfortunately. I hope you can give her the coping skills she needs and finds that "inner peaceful center".
