Ciroc accepted the visor, and immediately noticed it felt far stronger than any glass he'd ever felt before.

He hen looked at her, seeing her pure white eyes, and suppressed a bit of a gasp. Her didn't mean to be rude, after all.

"Really?" he asked.

"This can grant you sight?" he asked further, looking it over, and then handing it back to her, making sure she felt it with one of her hands before letting go, himself.

"That is incredible." he went on.

"How did you come to lose your sight, if you don't mind my asking?" he then asked her.

"Born this way." Lunet answered as she repositioned the visor around her ears, reconnecting it as well.

"And yeah, it does. Kind of. Not as good as real eyes, of course." She told him.

"But I basically have a few small cameras in the top rim of it, that metal bit there, and it connects directly into my head behind my ears." She continued. "That connection goes straight to my visual nerves and wahtnot, so... I use cameras to see. Literally."

If it hadn't been for that candy earlier, Ciroc would have been minorly freaking out about the information that he had just received. However, because it was still fresh, his brain was able to process it nicely, and calmly.

"Oh, I see." he said.

"That really is truly amazing." he told her.

"The technology of this world truly works miracles, it seems." he then said quietly, getting lost in thought for a moment, and then shaking his head.

"So, what do you do here?" he asked.

"I was told you work here, for your father."

"Some of it, is absolutely mindboggling." Lunet agreed.

"This, for instance, was an experimental thing." She added. "And is a perfect example."

"as for what I do, I basically run the tech department. Tech support, more specifically." She told him honestly. "I'm a coder, programmer, whatever, and I unofficially am the one everyone goes to for software issues."

Ciroc was silent as he heard all that, but again, thanks to the candy, he was able to process it a little better than he could have before.

"I see." he said.

"I... hm." he mumbled.

"So you're quite important here." he then said further with a light chuckle.

"I remember visiting a world that had technology in it, but it was nowhere near as advanced as here." he continued.

"In THAT world, cellular phones were just starting to become popular and commonplace." he laughed.

"However, at the same time, this place is fine without me, so long as Chloe is here." she added. Ciroc looked puzzled for a moment.

"Chloe? Who's Chloe? Is she even more knowledgeable at such things than you?" He asked.

"she's... I guess you could say my daughter, as I most certainly helped create her. Her full name is 'Calibrated Hotspot 1.0 Eternal." Lunet answered with a light alugh.

"If you're here for awhile, you'll likely see her. Oh, and she's an android."

Ciroc blinked a couple of times when she said that.

"An... an android?" he asked.

"Excuse me?" he asked further.

"I... the only concept I have for that term is... well... an artificial life or person, that's considered beyond a robot." he told her. "And even then, that term is only used in science fiction movies, as they're not real." he continued.

He then paused for a moment, and his eyes widened a little.

"Are... you saying they're a reality here?" he asked.

"She was a passion project between myself and a friend of mine. Took us nearly a year to create her." She added.

"And coding her was the easy bit." She muttered.

"At any rate, yeah. She's a legit android, and very easy to mistake as human when you see her." She told him.

"Her almost electric blue eyes give it away though."

"...fascinating." Ciroc replied in a sincere tone.

"To think I would end up in a world where such things are possible, without sacrificing mana." he went on.

"Oh, excuse the confusion." he then said when he noticed she seemed a little on the confused side.

"My home world is Adaminia, and it overflows with magic... or mana, as it's called here." he told her. "However, the technology is... well, the richest and most decadent have plumbing that works, let's say that." he then mumbled.

"The sister world to it is a world that is extremely technologically advanced, with things that can put this realm to shame, but their magic, or mana, has been all but obliterated. There's barely enough to sustain the world as is. It's stable, yes, but almost uninhabitable for those that need mana/magic to survive.

"Sounds like the world that Em and Vi are from." She commented calmly.

"I've never gone dimensional, and I really don't want to. Sounds like a headache, if I'm being honest." She added with a shrug.

"However, I've been helping with the getting you home efforts, as I'm not sure you're aware... And we may be on to something, but it'd be extremely risky."

"Indeed." Ciroc responded, in relation to her comment about it sounding like Emerald and Violet's home world. He didn't want to reveal anything that either of them might not want to know, so he figured he would end that particular aspect of the conversation right there.

Which was why he was thankful she had changed it like she had.

"Less a headache, and more overwhelming, really." he told her.

"Thankfully I have some ways to handle it, and Kiah and her friends here have been wonderful in helping." he went on.

"And you are?" he asked, referencing her saying that they may be onto something. "Extremely risky, you say?" he asked further.

"How so? What is this plan?"

"There are ... a number of portal users that Kiah knows, and can easily get in contact with. In theory, it's possible for them to take a sliver of your mana... magic... and use it to open a portal. Hopefully to the right place." Lunet told him.

"However, in doing so, there are numerous risks, both to you, and to them. If it goes wrong, you could be lost between dimensions, or in the wrong world, or they could be killed."

"Obviously, no one is interested in those. We're trying to find some way to get you home though." she assured him, sincerity to her voice.

"Well, I don't want anyone to put themselves needlessly at risk to try and send me home." he told her.

"So yes, hopefully you can find a safer way." he said.

"...and... thank you." he then told her.

"You don't have to do this for me. There's no real need for you to be going out of your way to help me as you are, but here you are, doing it. Of your own volition." he commented.

"...." Ciroc was silent for a moment.

"...mm." he mumbled, looking away slightly.

"Oh... did I hit a nerve with that?" Lunet asked, sounding apologetic.

"Oh, no, no." Ciroc responded. "I mean... you're not wrong. I DO have a family." he told her.

"It's just that... my wife is dead, killed by the man that tried to kill me. And my daughter believes me to be dead... my own doing, to prevent her from seeking me out, and leading that man straight to me." he informed her further.

"...seemed that didn't exactly work out." he lamented.

"So... if my daughter knew I was alive, then yes, she would be missing me. She probably does, but thinks me dead, as opposed to merely missing or displaced in the planes." he clarified.

"Just means you need to get home and fix that." She said simply.

"And I do mean that. Go home, talk to her, see her, let her know you're alive." She added. "Since you've already been found by the one who was seeking you out." She paused a moment.

"... however... how do you know she's not being sought out now that you aren't there?"

Ciroc shook his head again.

"Firstly, that is a good attitude to have." he told her.

"It's a good way of looking at it." he said.

"Secondly, I DON'T know as to whether or not she's being sought out now." he said further. "It's something that's kept me awake at night." he admitted to her quietly.

"However... there IS someone in my world that is acting like she's my daughter." he then informed her. "Because my daughter has been 'missing' since she was little, this person has been able to convince the populace that she is, in fact, royalty, and my daughter." he continued.

"...and while I do not wish for anything to happen to her, it DOES take the focus off of my real daughter." he went on.

"Just a shame that this person knows not the danger of the waters she treads."

"Her own fault, really." Lunet commented, almost sounding like she didn't care.

"However, it is unfortunate, but ... it's her own fault for not doing her research." She said simply.

She was silent as she was in her basement, doing plenty of things at once. Most specifically though, was that she was preparing things for her alchemical tasks the next day. There were various things that had to sit over night, and she wanted to get them done and over with first.

However, there were a couple of things that shouldn't sit within the same 100m of each other.

And she was preparing the second of those.

"Really, anything ill that may befall her is... of her own doing." he sighed.

Just as she was almost done preparing the second of them, her son stepped through the door after knocking lightly.

"Hey, Mom." he greeted her.

"Came to see if you wanted any-..." he started to say, before he noticed something on the table that was behind her... and something that she was preparing as he spoke to her.

"SWEET LORD, NO!" he yelled, rushing over and slapping something out of her hand.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?"

The small dish was knocked to the side, the contents spilling out and igniting almost instantly.

"Shit!" she exclaimed as she hurried to grab the fire extinguisher.

"What the fuck, Cain!?" She excalimed as she grabbed it and started to spray the fire that was growing.
