"I, ah.... I said that out loud, didn't I?" he mumbled.

Again, Lunet sighed. Heavily.

"Sorry." Ty apologised.

"I've just been... so worried..." he admitted. "Found it hard to lay down and close my eyes." he said further.

"Which is WHY you're headed home today, to catch UP on that lost sleep." Rene interjected, having approached the door and heard the latter part of their conversation.

"Because seriously. Not sleeping is my shtick, not yours." she added with a chuckle.

"Seriously though, relax. I'm ok. Not sure how long I'll be stuck here though."?

"And you will get proper sleep for the next few days, AT LEAST." Rene added. "AND you will return to your life as normal." he stressed.

"Now wait just a-" Ty started to say, before Rene interrupted.

"We'll make sure you're here for the reveal on whether or not the surgery WORKED." he said.

"So I'm stuck here for a couple of weeks then." She commented.

"At most." he said.

"If all goes well and swimmingly, a week." he told her.

"We'll see as time goes by." he continued.

"After all, this was the first surgery of its kind, so we want to make SURE things go as planned. Or... well... predicted." he mumbled.

"All I'm saying is that we want you to have the best aftercare."

"Brought? No. However, I would appreciate if you could plug the cord for my tablet in and pass it over so I know where it is, for whenmy battery is getting low." Lunet answered.

"Also, ... pass me my bag, which has my tablet and whatnot in it." She added.

"I really don't want to be here twiddling my thumbs."

"Of course." Ty said.

He then proceeded to grab her bag, and placed it beside her against her arm so she knew where it was. After that, he took the cord in question and plugged it into a socket that was near her, running the cord up and draping it over one of the steel guards that were on the edge of the bed, once again, letting her feel for where it was.

"If you have any problems or issues, use the call button." Rene told her.

"It's pretty much right next to your head, so you should easily be able to find it."

"Of course. Thank you Dr. Calder." Lunet said with a soft smile.

Sure enough, a few weeks later she had returned to the hospital and was sitting in Rene's office, waiting for him to return. It was time for her to find out if the surgery was all for naught, or if ti was actually a success. She knew that chances were, regardless of what happened, there would be articles regarding it, and her, as there already had been.

"Hey Dr. Calder." She greeted as she heard the door open.

"Enter." Rene told him, which he did, making his way to Lunet.

Leo was silent for a moment.

"VERY confident." he said.

"How confident is 'VERY' confident?" Ty asked suspiciously.

"I'm quite sure this will wor-" Leo started to say, before Rene interjected.

"Numbers, Leo." he said. "Give a ballpark percentage on how sure you are that Lunet will be able to see, after all the time she's waited, all the updates she's received, the surgery she went through, the recovery, the nervousness..." he listed off. "The very least you can do is put everything on the table, and leave NO ambiguity." he stressed.

"..." Leo then just sighed.

"I am 85% sure this will work." he told them.

"And by that, I mean there is an 85% chance this will work beautifully, and a 15% chance it won't work at all." he clarified. "Normally there's gradients for how WELL it will work, but mana tends to mitigate that risk into being negligible when it comes to being integrated with technology." he explained.

"I suppose all we can do now, is just test it." She added after a couple of seconds.

"Indeed." Leo replied.

He then set the briefcase he had down on Rene's desk and opened it, revealing a rather sleek-looking visor, fitted for Lunet's head.

"All right..." Leo mumbled.

"Lunet, here you go." he told her, placing the visor in her hands carefully, so that she was holding it in such a way she could easily put it on. "Slip it on and wait until you 'feel' the connection, and... well... it should start working." he said further.

He then took a step back, and bit his lip, crossing his fingers on both his hands.

"Oh. Uhh... Ok." Lunet said as she accepted the visor. She'd thought he would do the first, simply because of the fact that she knew it was something new and all. She also didn't know HOW it would 'connect', either.

She put the visor on, fumbling massively with finding the connection for the first time while blind and with zero guidance. It took her about five minutes before she *finally* figured it out.

"Any last minute warnings?" She asked, her voice curious as she sought out the power button.
