@koneko: you're welcome. I should listen to more Italian stuff, tbh, but I've been a little burnt out on the academics of it lately, it has been hard... I'm at that point where I understand it but am still stumbling over "but what does that word mean?" and "did I hear that right?"

@koneko: yes, those things should smooth out with time and practice. I have been neglecting any real study of my language of choice for a while now and should probably go back and just brush up on the vocab and academics of it. I have just been so distracted with and focused on other things lately...

@koneko: Well, I didn't start Russian until my Korean was at an intermediate level. It is hard to split my time between the two, but I enjoy it in the end. I think it depends on how fast you want to progress though. If you want to progress in one language as fast as possible, then it's probably better to pick one and focus on it. If you're not too worried about progressing super quickly, then two is okay. Also, Russian is a hard language, but Korean is still considered more difficult than Russian for native English speakers, so I think the difficulty of the languages you're learning is also important to consider. Japanese and Korean do have similar grammar though, so your knowledge of Japanese may come in handy there.

I had to rephrase every line as I wrote it bc, again, I can't count.
I like haikus tho, bc syllable counting is much easier than rhyming.
I am not a fan of poetry.

@koneko: yes, I agree. If you want to learn a language "right", it takes time and attention... and sometimes, dealing with day to day just doesn't afford that. :3
