@Kory: if the parent is insecure in any way, it should help bolster their confidence. I know my mom (who feels like she screwed up) likes hearing it, and when my son tells me something like that, it's nice to hear, even if I don't need to hear it. But if she feels responsible for things she can't control, a compliment, without context of your diagnosis, might help...

I love fancy ramen as well, but cheap ramen will do in a pinch. Haven't had that in a while, now that I think about it (the cheap kind).

We've got a few Asian fusion places here in my town, and I like to try them whenever I can.
Duck is like dark meat turkey to me, but different also? That's the closest thing I can compare it to. You can actually have it cooked below well-done, though personally I don't care for it that way.
One of the best places I've had duck was this bistro in Savannah called 45 Bistro. I feel like I usually find duck in Asian restaurants, but that wasn't Asian, and it was delicious!!

The ramen was a crispy duck, and it was so good.
I remember you mentioning the duck ramen at Morimoto's restaurant in Orlando. I was trying to get it last time I went there, but plans didn't line up for that unfortunately. Had too much other stuff going on. Hopefully someday soon!

@Kory: No worries lol. I know they're not for everyone lol. I get SO irate when the strings are still left on--they're not that hard to remove! I'm curious, what veggies are your favorite? My top 2 are broccoli and green beans.
@Kory: I like carrots too, preferably not cooked. Otherwise they get too mushy and sweet for me. I can't remember the last time I had kale, but that's good too. I like a lot of green veggies, come to think of it.
And that makes sense. One veggie I can't stand is peppers. Of any kind. Like if I taste even a hint of bell pepper, I'm immediately turned off.

Now that I think of it, there are a few pepper products I can tolerate. Paprika is one, in moderation. And my fiance uses these dried chilis to make pozole, which is a Mexican pork soup. But that's about it.
