@Totalanimefan: Yup - I get it. :3 Thanks.
@neon: *sees the lurker* Hi. Thanks for the good wishes. :3
@sunny: lol... yeah. We have been out walking the dogs and seen it literally rain on one side of the street but not the other...

- @Wildfire: that’s so strange lol. We get rain on one village but not the next village, but nothing as extreme as yours!!!
How’s the garden doing? Anything ripe today?
@sunny: yeah, it's weird. There are plenty of times when I'm doing errands and like for every 1/4 mile (~.4km) I drive, the weather changes... it rains for the first bit, drizzles for the next, downpours the next, the sun is out the next one, back to a regular rain... It's weird. Kinda fun. Kinda scary if you're not expecting it or prepared for it, but interesting :3 ... in the summer. Winter is more about what level of clothing you need... shorts? bathing suit? jeans? hoodie? gloves, scarves and hats?
The garden... ummm... let's see... the papaya that I transplanted a couple days ago are still fighting the fight. I'm not sure if they're going to make it, but of the four I put in the spot, one of them might, which would be good. I threw some more random beans in the ground near a trellis that's set up... the previous beans don't seem to be wanting to grow, so I figured maybe quantity would provide something that grows...?? I trimmed some tomato plants this morning and I planted a few seeds of borage (flowers) . Some of my amaranth seedlings seem to have survived whatever bug was chewing on them and destroyed at least a third of the seedlings. My jalapeno is dying/dead and I'm not sure why. The bell pepper isn't faring much better. But I have two Japanese eggplants (aubergines) that look just about ready to harvest...

It seems to be raining again.
It rained. It cleared up. Now it seems to be raining again. /sigh/ At least we got the dogs (and the trash - lol) out in the "in between" phase of things! XD ... and the humidity has skyrocketed - we are seeing the steamy windows on our sliding glass doors now (and our A/C is not set insanely low - it's at about 78°F/25°C right now). Hello Florida Summer! XD

@Totalanimefan: Hello back at you ^^
@Totalanimefan: Hello back at you ^^
I mostly lurk, but will post from time to time.
@sunny: it's 8:22am here, so definitely morning in FL.... but early afternoon for you! <3
I fell down a rabbit hole, looking at and reading information on garden stuff... which is making me think I really need to get out there and check on things before it gets too hot (so I'll BRB - I don't expect to get too caught up out there today). Other than that, I'm fine so far. How are you doing today?

- @Wildfire: oh good luck! I’m sure your garden appreciates the hard work :)
I’m doing ok, back to my mum’s for a few days because of housemate drama lol. Long story but I’m going back to my mum’s until Monday:) we have good weather here, like 30 degrees C, so hopefully I can enjoy that.
@sunny: Round 1 of the garden shenanigans is done. I even made my breakfast entirely from things I harvested :3 I'm considering going back out for Round 2 of garden stuff before it gets stifling hot, which it's supposed to do (apparently the heat index is supposed to get really high today, and I believe it, judging from what it feels like at 9am).
I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with housemate drama - that's never any fun! At least you have a place to retreat to at your Mom's though, right? I hope the drama settles down for you. ... and Yay for a nice day! I hope you can enjoy the weather... and that magic sunshine! XD

- @Wildfire: ooo what breakfast did you make from your garden? Good luck in the heat! Hot weather is fun to a point, and then it just gets painful:( it is 31 degrees here, which is too much for most Brits lol.
- @Totalanimefan: yeah it’s pretty hot. I’ve just been sat outside for a while but had to come in it was so hot! What are you studying today?
- @Totalanimefan: that sounds… complicated XD are you enjoying it?
Yeah I’ve been drinking a lot, now I’m indoors the heat is much more manageable. I wish we had AC but it’s not worth here lol.
currently: new novel who dis?

beanie doll! thank u cookie
@sunny: Let's see... my phone says it's 89°F/31-32°C (So it's like yours!!!) and we're under a heat advisory, with an extreme UV index, and 66% humidity (which actually didn't feel that bad when I was outside).
My garden breakfast included bits from... waning cabbage (baby leaves), collard greens, sweet potato leaves, okinawan spinach, tomato, baby squash, some purslane, scapes from onions and garlic, and a butterfly pea flower or two. I think that's everything - it was a real mix of random stuff that I sauteed. :3
@Totalanimefan: good afternoon :3
